Downloading. Hoping that attaching the debugger to an app using the WCSession on launch will be less buggy than last beta. That frustrating bug kept me working through the night. Well, not working, more like waiting.. Anyone having the same issue? Couldn't find anyone having the same problems.

Is this new to beta 5?

Keep screen awake for 70 seconds on tap

I don't get it, Why is it called "complication" instead of "compilation"? I think we can distinguish between a Watch compilation and a Music compilation; not only is "compilation" more precise, "complication" has a negative connotation.

Context is everything; "complication" doesn't have a negative connotation in watch nomenclature as others have mentioned. I thought it was a strange term when first learned it in the context of watches. As for "compilation" being more precise, I beg to differ. I've never seen or heard the word "compilation" used to mean anything other than a new publication, collection or list of previously available data, stories, songs, etc. I only know of it being used for those kinds of intangibles. I'm curious to know if you use in a different way or if you thought of it because "compilation" looks very similar to "complication."

Anti aliasing/edge smoothing seems to be off now. At least changed. Everything is kind of jaggy and pixelated. Especially the second hand. I guess it’s for better performance, but I prefer the previous sharp look.

All my apps keep saying unlock iPhone to view, even though the phone is unlocked, and the watch, unpairing and re-pairing to see if it makes a difference.

You're right. I was/am completely ignorant about "watch nomenclature", but you and others have shed some light on it for me, so it makes more sense to me now, thanks.

Keep the screen active for 15 seconds or.... 70 seconds? What an odd second option.

15, 30 and 60 would be a better set of choices, IMHO.

I wonder if the idea is someone might be using the stopwatch to time something for 60 seconds, so the watch face should stay on slightly longer than 60 secs to allow the user to press the stop button. Seems like that would be a pretty niche situation to warrant such an odd time period added though.

The Modular Multicolor face now has a green battery ring, instead of white. It might also change to red when the battery gets low, I haven't been using it long enough yet.

Is multi-color modular face new in watchOS? As far as I can tell, my watchOS 1 Watch's modular face is all the same color, except the large center module, which is grey. So, I have it set to white, so it all pretty much looks white, to match the white Sport band. Don't know how I feel about the battery module being colored. Kind of ruins the white motif for me. More options would be nice.

No, they've been pretty smart about this. The nurses and paramedics who have asked for this need to be able to watch the second hand for 60 seconds. But they still need a few seconds after they have tapped the screen to get their hand on their patient's wrist for the pulse. 60 seconds wouldn't have been enough.

I wonder how the extra minute basically of screen on time will affect battery life. Idk with wrist raise on as someone who isn't a nurse or someone who uses my watch for a profession, wrist raise has been more then enough. Turns on when I need it off when I don't.

This new ability to keep the screen on for 70 seconds after wake should help when apps are loading and take longer than 15 seconds the screen now won't go black which will sometimes makes watchapps stop loading.

Yes, it is new from beta 4. The battery ring being colored is new in beta 5. I love it and it's all I've been using for the past several weeks.

There are also some other great updates in this beta. In the workout app, there is now a view for active calories AND total calories (prior only "calories" were shown). Also, if the workout app is in use and you are on the watch face, and small workout icon is visible on the top of the screen (where the lock is or airplane is during those modes). Also, after saving a workout you now get a large confirmation box that says "workout saved." All welcome additions in my opinion.

Beta 4 was terrible for me. So many reboots and trouble connecting to the phone.
