Open a safari tab, click into the address bar, click on the number icon on the keyboard, now enter a few numbers, press space twice so that a "." appears. Now your keyboard is still showing numbers instead of letters.

Info: iPhone 6 with iOS 10.0.1

Edit: But I don't have that problem if I enter the text in safari in the text field on a forum or in notes. Where else does the problem occur and which setup do you have?

Same on 5S with iOS 10.0.1

EDIT: copy/paste url with email is fix?

Icons are not responding reliably to touch on 6s on 10.0.1- probably a 70% success rate; dangerous on dash mount; 3-D touch is normal. Restore did not fix it.

Why is this ok that there is an update every week? Stop shipping broken software

This is not an update that will be released for probably at least a month.

As soon as Apple releases an update, they don't rest - they are constantly working on the next build.

As they should. But peepin out beta stuff without even the slightest inhouse testing (given the kind of elementary bugs) looks so inept. Why not do an inhouse test with 1000 users (if you have 70.000 employees) instead of posing millions into problems. This spoils the best brand in the world.
Plain idiocy.

have you ever coded a simple program? I took programming in high school and its a lot more in debth than you might think! C DM your right, especially with the probably 5 million (Easily) lines of code there must be within IOS.

Have I ever coded? I run a dev shop. We don't ship buggy products. And Apple has infinitely more resources than us. I buy Apple to avoid this garbage. I was the biggest Apple fan there was, and there's still nothing better to switch to. But I'm tired of the excuses for what is becoming a pattern of shoddy workmanship.

Perhaps but I imagine this build has already been through at least a couple weeks of internal testing. I doubt Apple only has one version of iOS in testing at a time.

IMHO

"Buggy" is subjective. I guarantee I can find bugs in your products, and they may or may not be a big deal to me. You would not do a better job than Apple.

Point in case:
"and there's still nothing better to switch to"

Out of everyone in the world, some of who are trying to make a better OS than Apple, there is still "nothing better to switch to" as stated in your own words.

With the on-going QA issues of buggy software releases by Apple, it is abundantly clear that Apple have lost control of the build.

I can confirm that bluetooth audio is still an issue with this 10.1 build on BMWs and iDrive.

What issue is that? I just paired my 7+ with my 2015 i3 and the music app played through my speakers. I think siri worked too but that may have been the day before on my 6s+. i'll try tonight.

I have 10.1 on my iPhone, what do I need to do now to get off the beta trail? There is no 'profile' option under settings!

Ok so whats your point? The bottom line is Apples quality has declined.

There's a difference between good and great. Why do people make excuses for them? iOS is not as good as it once was.

My point is I think the number of testers (Apple's Customers/Users) have increased. More manpower, more bugs get noticed. Just because more bugs are noticed, doesn't necessarily mean more bugs exist.

Does this update contain the fixes for the lightning headphones as seen in 10.0.2 or would it be best to wait for beta 2? I depend on the new headphones greatly but I really want the new portrait mode. Seems like 10.0.2 is the newer build.

What do you mean by the whole thing correctly at once? There are always going to be bug fixes, tweaks, improvements, and even new features.

You think 10.1 will be finalized and released in just a matter of a few weeks?

My point is that on every release of iOS, some of the bugs are things that were already solved or worked perfectly in the previous version...
