I have so many issues where do I begin?
When talking to text after you send the bubble is hidden by the keyboard. Sometimes on websites the saved password stays on the predictive text bar and won’t go away until I force quit safari. Stuttering in text. Stutter on the home screen. I could go on. This is all on the iPhone X.

To be fair, testing was better, the product was better before public beta testing.

This presupposes that, post-public beta testing, Apple fired half its QA staff.

Most public testers just like to tinker and don't really do anywhere nearly enough in-depth testing. Apple then shrugs it's shoulders and a half baked product gets released and then they wonder why everyone is moaning.

Even if plenty of beta testers don't report any feedback, Apple can still collect plenty of automated diagnostics that way. Crash reports, as an obvious example.

[doublepost=1527840554][/doublepost]A day in the life of a Beta Tester:

"Ooh a new beta version of iOS! - Must download and test right away."
- DOWNLOAD, 4 hours later after finally getting it installed and reading the disclaimer:
Beta software is for testing purposes, do not use in a production environment
"Ooh, ok, I'll just see if there are any new features.... Urm, No, ok - 'ERASE'"

Meanwhile back at Apple HQ:

Apple Employee 1: "Look, 16 million downloads of the new beta, and no bug reports!"
Apple Employee 2: "Wait, a bug report just came through, just minor though"
Apple Employee 1: "16 million downloads and one bug report? No need for us to do any further testing!"

RELEASE UPDATE

That's an insultingly simplistic view of a complex engineering organization.

Quite accurate though, considering the sheer volume of bugs, glitches and other software issues.

Which are....... ?

Here are a few:

1. When switching apps in the App Switcher, the rightmost edge of the app being switched to flickers. It’s glitchy. For some reason iOS is applying shadows where no shadows are necessary.

2. There are glitchy shadow effects on the dark keyboard used to respond to a Message by pulling down on the notification. For some reason, the top row of software keys cast glitchy shadows on the entire predictive text row. You can make the entire row flicker if you type “q” or “p” repeatedly. It’s distracting.

3. Deleting data in Health App causes a horrendous interface glitch. Notice how the row UNDERNEATH the row you’ve just deleted “pops” out as part of the animation. It’s sloppy, sloppy UX. I’ve reported this one to Apple since October 2017 and it’s not fixed. These little interface hiccups aren’t a priority.

4. Deleting note from iOS Notes App while in landscape causes the same issue.

There’s more, but that’s all I care to type out now.

Anyone having an issue accessing remote services with 11.4.1? I am an AV integrator and I have some apps that provide remote access to control systems EVer since updating to 11.4.1, I seem to have lost this remote connection. It seems to even effect my ticketmaster account when I try to claim tickets. Talking to TM server times out and I get no connection. It's not my WIFI as i checked that and I rebooted my phone. Anyone having this issue?

I’m not sure why people complain about the updates? The major gripe I and many other android users have is the lack of update support.

The fact that iOS is maintained as often as it is keeps me coming back.

So for updates and betas I say keep em coming, I’m all for it.
