yep, i'm quite happy no longer being a beta tester... couldn't stand the instability and would rather just wait for the official release.

There's quite a difference between bugs or glitches and degrading performance.

I understand that perfection is utopia, but getting the quick actions menu to be smooth really shouldn't have to take 7 months, period. My iPhone 2G was smooth in 2007, no reason to expect less from a 6s in 2016.

Except iOS is 10X bigger now? Performance may be 10X faster, but when you introduce so many more features and expand the code so much, something is going to give. I'm not defending Apple here, because it shouldn't have taken so long to fix quick action menus, but its extremely complex.

Sounds like apple did the world a great service ;):p

Ha ha, very funny. I don't actually use mine to take pictures of myself, but more so as a to take pictures and videos at more interesting angles. I push the button on the stick and nothing happens.

Out of topic, but if it connects via Bluetooth, try deleting the device, restarting and re-pairing.
If still doesn't work, try Reset Network Settings, and as a last choice: Reset All settings

No, doesn't connect via Bluetooth, I have one that has the little cable that plugs into the headphone jack. Thanks for the reply though.

Quick Actions - Quick Actions now open up smoothly in landscape mode with none of the jittering or lag that's been present in past versions of iOS 9.3.
This has not been fixed... at least on my 6S Plus. I still have to invoke the drop-down search (in landscape) prior to the Quick Actions smoothing out.

Because software quality has been flushed down the toilet. They can't get it right and they keep pushing patches and patches and betas hoping to get it right. At the expense of users frustrations.

That's what they get for dumping Scott. Tim's worst decision to date. I can't wait till the real reason for his departure comes out. Prolly in 20 years. :apple:

Mmm... Could it be that it's not an MFI accessory?
Or simply something changed in your settings. What it tries to do is emulate the volumen control of the Apple earphones.
If possible, try to take a photo with your Apple earphones' volume button.
If it works, then it's not the phone's hardware. Otherwise, something is wrong with it; I would try: Reset All Settings.

Apple is getting slack at their work it seems. Any bets on how before we see a fire sale or a for lease sign on Campass 2? LOL

Thanks! I know it's not a problem with the stick itself as it works with my wife's 6s, and the only thing that has changed with my phone is iOS. I'll try the stick headphones to see if they can take a pic with the volume button. It's has to be something with iOS though, because the selfie stick worked before with this phone.

So big (1.7 GB) and slow... The 2.44 GB IPSW will be downloaded before the iPhone has finished and I started it later.

Wouldn't need so many damn beta's if they weren't insistent on adding new features every two or so months. Fix the **** software and release stable, wash, rinse, and repeat. Same goes for OS X....really same goes for every bit of software these days, including the gaming community. The fact that we consumers accept this as the norm is ridiculous. Buggy public release after buggy public release yet MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS in the bank and they can't spend a bit of coin to get **** right?

I'm not saying they should release a stable major build and rest on their laurels, but come on, these beta releases are getting out of hand...in all industries.

It's hilarious how little people really understand the SDLC...

There is a good reason why they are made for developers, they are meant for people who are capable of dealing with problems. If you want betas to go onto Facebook, public betas are the thing.

I think some of you aren't understanding my posts. Public betas are a good thing. That is not what I am discussing. I'm talking about GM's if you will, still being betas or as buggy as betas yet calling them a proper final build and then releasing them, to only find out they're just as buggy or more buggy than the last, and the same nagging everyday issues are still present.

Maybe it's my 6 Plus hardware getting outdated and not keeping up with each update or simply a case of fixing something then breaking something else in the process, I feel each update ends up creating another bug. My 6 Plus tends to freeze for a few good seconds while using Safari now and Read Receipts in iMessages stay saying Delivered although my contacts have Read Receipts ON. It isn't until I reboot my phone that the Read Receipt will show the time they read the message. Not completely frustrating bugs/glitches but it's just an observation I've made in the past 2 years with iPhone updates. But hey, at least they FINALLY fixed that nasty lag when pulling down the NC and pulling up the CC at the lock screen. Smooth as butter for the first time since 7.2.1

These aren't patches. These are betas.

You romanticize the Scott Forstall era like there weren't iOS 2-6 releases that were complete garbage. There were.
