And they’re still supporting my 2010 cMP - kudos Apple

No kudos. Apple was still selling the 2010 cMP as late as 2012, so its continued support until at least the new MP comes out was a given. You still need to have a Metal capable graphics card and wait for later betas to see what other restrictions Apple may have placed within Mojave.

Hi guys,

Anyone getting this weird glitch?
Obviously I'm enrolled otherwise I wouldn't have been able to even see this page in the App Store. Tried turning off enrolment/reboot etc no luck...

It's the first developer preview beta of the dot-zero build of an OS just announced today - what do you think?

To be fair, it's very stable so far... dark mode looks great, stacks have tidied up the desktop, everything works as you would expect...

Did you run 'macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.dmg'?

Anyone facing this issue ? And Dynamic desktop not really working for me.. Stays at the night wally xD

Nope no problems here.

Itunes is a bit messed up in dark mode tho. Black text on grey background. I'd have assumed they would have sorted that out before beta release.

Only the initial licence agreement window appeared like that for me, everything else in iTunes looks fine. Although I'm only commenting on my music library, I don't use Apple Music.

Works fine here (Englandshire)

Yep, upon install it takes you to the download page on the App Store, but every time I click to download it gives me this message. You can only get to this page if you download the DMG from the beta site, weird.

Well I tried all methods to fix it still crapping out on me. I currently have no access to App Store.. Am from Dubai UAE so maybe blocked for some reason ?

Maybe they pulled the download on that particular server or you have DNS issues - restart your Mac and try again.

Perhaps a language issue, maybe temporarily change your location settings for testing.

It is English set to Dubai, I have many Store IDs US, UAE, Lebanese tried all nothing working xD

Such an underwhelming slew of updates, but we all complained about how buggy iOS11 and High Sierra were (side note: who the heck gave them a 95% satisfaction score??) here's to hoping this boring update is at least bug-free!

Working online for a few large companies I have noticed a trend in these online satisfaction scores.

The questions they ask are not about the product lifecycle, but say about the sales process. So an insurance company for example would have customers rate the online portal for buying insurance, and get something like 95% because it is just the sales process but then advertise that 95% of customers give them a good rating for insurance.

They don't ask customers to rate them after an insurance claim, where you would then know exactly how the company treats it's customers.

And a few examples of some dark mode apps...

Yea it looks great in apps that support it, but wow is it jarring when you switch to an app that doesn't.

Is there confirmation that the Notes app will work in dark mode? I've seen that Mail, Messages, Maps, Calendar, and Photos do. But I've seen nothing specifically about Notes.

I can confirm that it does

Desktop stacks is the reason I would install this OS.

I was excited about this too. It cleans things up nice, but I personally feel like it expands in a weird way. They should make it pop out like stacks in the dock, but instead they expand it on the desktop and it pushes the other files down.

I’m just happy they are again thinking creatively about the desktop interface. It’s been a very long time since they did much of anything with that other than port over iOS behaviors like launchpad.

Stacks might be nice if they made it work within folders other than the desktop. But I keep my desktop clean. Also depends on how flexible and smart the organization is. Grouping by file type doesn’t seem all that helpful. Grouping by project would be nicer.
You can organise Stacks in different ways.
"Group by kind to see images, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, and more sort themselves. Arrange by date to group your work from certain time periods. And if you tag files with project-specific metadata, like client names, sorting by stacks becomes a powerful way to manage multiple jobs." source

Can a dev take a look and let me know if they finally additional colors to tags? I ran out of colors day 1.

Guys, is insert photo from iPhone enabled on your side? In Notes I see this features are disabled.

Do you have the new iOS dev beta installed on your phone? I imagine that it would require updates on both sides.
[doublepost=1528213826][/doublepost]Anyone on the dev able to check in terminal the version of Python installed? (just type "python" and then "quit()" to exit) Thanks!

maybe I'll check back in 2-3 months when the beta settles down a bit. These stability betas have been less than ... well stable.
Has anyone tried to run any 32bit applications yet? Are they blocked entirely?
Next year they will be blocked.

I have just noticed that the Mac App Store only works with the Apple ID that is registered with Developer portal. All other IDs result in App Store failing to connect... Is that a thing Apple put in place ? Could it be a regional thing ? Do I have to use a VPN now to access my other IDs in App Store ?

Just thinking out loud maybe someone can help with this as all my apps are on a separate ID (US) xD

Someone please tell whoever writes the article to fix the last paragraph. Reporting doesn’t seem to work.

macOS Mojave is limited to registered developers at this time, but later in the summer, Apple plans to make a public macOS High Sierra beta available, giving public beta testers a chance to try the software before it sees a public launch in the fall.
