Installed 12.2. I will say this; the promotion on safari feels more like the one on the iphone now. Definitely smoother than the 12.1 version. I am noticing almost no more jitters either.

Then you aren't looking close enough or your usage is very basic.

Monterey has been fairly solid for me, and my usage is hardly basic.

macOS Monterey 12.2 Beta Release Notes

"General

There are no new release notes for this beta software update."

Those are developer release notes. They contain stuff like API changes, not end-user features.

I am mostly just hoping for memory leak fixes. Especially in Safari.

Is there a memory leak in Safari?

Does this fix the Preview bug where pdfs open in separate windows always and don't respect the preference to always open in tabs?

Build numbers for Monterey 12.2 beta 1 is 21D5025f and for Big Sur 11.6.3 beta 1 is 20G405

Or perhaps you’re looking too hard?
I have not installed 12.2 as apple has not described the new features of the version, I am just saying that until they are published I am not going to install 12.2. with which I read the news and they say nothing, it is too early to evaluate the new version.

I am not hearing any more reports of this. At least nothing substantiated.
Safari is unusable on 12.1, I havent tried on 12.2 but its been unusable since Monterey was released. the CPU sits over 100% and the memory consumption grows and grows until the computer comes to a grinding halt. Ive switched to using the technology preview which doesnt have this issue, so maybe if they upgrade safari the issue will be gone?

It seems quite responsive on the 2021 MacBook Pro. Hopefully it will fix the Wi-Fi issues I’ve been having as well.

Btw, is it me or Dolby Atmos sounds a bit different (testing it with AirPods Max). I feel like it’s more airy and I can hear more elements, but it might not be the case.

I've not experienced this whatsoever.

That’s not unreasonable.
