Nope. That is iTunes Remote. I'm talking about Apple TV Remote. Nothing tricky. EXACTLY what I said. If you have a newer ATV with Siri, and you don't know about that app, you're missing out.

You don’t even need the app anymore, siince all of that functionality is built in to the Control Center widget on iOS 11

I wonder if 4.3 will fix the text that is cut off at the top and bottom when deleting messages. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it has.

Can’t select an album and then see a track list to pick from, but it’s a step in the right direction

just tried that yep it just starts the whole album. Well it is the 1st best to bring it back, so hopefully more to come.

CONTROLLING IPHONE MUSIC FROM WATCH MUSIC APP HAS RETURNED!!!

Very happy with this too; and Apple actually bringing a feature back- it makes me hope they'll bring back the swipe up "now playing" screen. It was better than using a complication

You can put Now Playing or Music in the dock at the first position (on the top of the stack)

Yes, it's still not as easy and intuitive as swiping up from the bottom of the screen like I could until Apple removed "glances" in OS3.

I don't think I ever press the dock button- it's awkward for me to use for some reason.

Why cant they find a way to delete all messages on apple watch if they cant do icloud messaging then force touch and delete all its so frustrating deleting each txt one by one

The Watch doesn't need iCloud messages . All it needs to do is just sync back and forth with the iPhone (which does sync with iCloud) and I am not sure how that has not been a feature sine day 1. Very frustrating.

There was two things I was hoping for in the new software update for the iPhone and the watch and it was predictive text and scribble swedish support.
Ain't gonna happen, maybe ios 12/wos 5.

Siri confirms, audibly, when she turns my Hue lights on in the current release software. Is that what you're talking about? Not broken for me.

No (read my post again - this is about her NOT staying silent, lol!).

The bug is when you set Siri to Silent in the watchOS settings, the problem is she STILL confirms, audibly, when she turns lights on/off. Or when I have HomeKit scenes, e.g. "Hey Siri, I'm Home," she responds audibly even with her set to Silent. This bug was introduced in the last watchOS update, and wasn't fixed in the update this week.

Can you tell me if it's fixed in this 4.3 beta?

FYI, it's a partial bug, because if I tell Siri to unlock my front door, or close my garage door, she stays silent (respecting the setting), but for some reason lights and HomeKit scenes she yells back at me about.

I doubt it but I pray pray pray iCloud messaging works on Apple Watch so annoying always having to delete on the watch to, but the iCloud says just iPhone iPad and Mac so doubt it :( wonder whats new tho

iCloud Messaging isn't in this beta. I'm so pissed!

Yeah.. I don't care how they do it, but I'm sick and tired of deleting each message on the watch, one-by-one, with no less than three taps. GRRRRRR!!!!

This whole subthread is weird to me. I'm almost positive my watch and iPhone iMessages sync to each other?!?

I'm on AT&T. Maybe it's a carrier difference?

What they’re referring to is the ability to delete a message on the iPhone and it delete on the watch as well. This would require iCloud message syncing, but right now if you delete something from the phone it remains on the watch

There is no control center widget on the watch. Don't think you realize what I was talking about.

There is the Watch remote app that functions like the Siri remote for ATV4+ (and 3). Just pulled it up as I was reading the thead. It’s built-in IIRC.
(4.2.2b)

Hrm. I’m on 11.2.5.

Edit: Never mind; missed yesterday’s beta release.

The update also includes the return of a much-desired feature that allows music playing on the iPhone to be controlled using the Music app on the Apple Watch. In prior versions of watchOS, the Music app could only be used to control music playing from the watch itself.
More of a feature to pull playlist or something similar from iPhone and control its playback on Watch. WatchOS 4 can always control the music playback on iPhone. Just cannot pull the list.
How long until I can no longer work how I want on my Mac?...
Disabling 32-bit app in next release is the first step towards that direction.

The update to this post isn’t strictly accurate.... you could control iPhone music from the watch on previous WatchOS versions up until they pulled it on watchOS 4 when Series3/LTE/Apple Music became the focus.
