So 13.1 for iOS is tomorrow. iPadOS 13.0 is tomorrow? WatchOS 6.1 is obviously a ways away and TVOS may come out tomorrow or on the 30th? MacOS is just "October"? This has all gotten very confusing suddenly.

Anyone else have battery life issues with watchOS 6? I installed on my S4 and my battery life was cut in half. I figured out that it was the new Noise monitoring feature. I had a complication of it on my watch face and I turned the Noise feature off completely and battery life is back to normal. Need to test it with the Noise feature on, but not display the complication on the watch face to see if it is the feature or it was the constant monitoring of the complication that was causing the drain.

Yes!!! Indeed this is/was the issue! Many thanks!!!

Maybe they are doing the right thing and re-doing them to work on older watches since theres absolutely no reason certain new faces with a circular variant (gradient and California) should not also be available on pre-S4 watches.

Wow. watchOS 6.1.. right when I put my watch back on after updating, I could tell a difference. The frame drops are gone! Everything seems to load quicker. This is awesome! Series 3 cellular.

That’s great to know! How is the raise to wake on 6.1? My series 3 sometimes has a 1-2 second lag before the screen comes on on 6.0

Seems perfect to me! I had a several instances on 6.0 where raise to wake wouldn’t work, so I’d tap the screen to wake it and it still wouldn’t work. Then I’d press the Digital Crown a couple times and that would wake the screen finally. I haven’t experienced that yet on 6.1, but it’s only been a couple hours. Still don’t know battery life compared to 6.0 either.

I have even noticed that app launching is faster

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.1 beta to developers, a little under a week after releasing the watchOS 6 update with full App Store, new Apple Watch faces, and more.

Once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS beta can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To install the update, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it has to be in range of the iPhone.

It's not yet clear what features will be introduced in the watchOS 6.1 update, but we'll be updating this article when we find out.

Hopefully this fixes the autobrightness issue. Here’s my S4 next to an S5

Sorry if this is late but ever since the Beta of WatchOS 6 Came out earlier this year my Series 1 watch completely unpaired from my phone and i can no longer pair it back to my phone or use it at all. All it does when i pair it says "Pairing........Unpairing apple watch" Anyone please help me this is the only apple watch i have :c

Is it possible to downgrade from watchOS 6.1 beta to 6.0 public? If yes, how? Just removing the developer profile and doing a software update?
You cannot downgrade watchOS. That’s why Apple only seeds a developer beta. The ONLY way to downgrade is to send your Apple Watch to Apple.
