Didn’t .X releases used to come with nice new features? Why not do something like 14.3.1?
There could be backend changes and additions that aren't necessarily visible that would prompt a new point update.
Indeed — this will almost certainly have new features; they just haven't been discovered yet. I expect an additional article about that any day now.
There's that too.

It would be nice if they could focus on iCloud syncing in general. iCloud Drive syncing is the worst of any similar product in existence. It can take minutes, hours, or even longer for one file to get around to syncing. Even Microsoft One Drive is better at syncing. iCloud Reminders are terrible at syncing too. I have a lot of devices and Reminders show up everywhere. Marking it complete in one place has about a 60% chance of it disappearing from all other devices in any reasonable amount of time.

Reminders can't even sort let alone sync. Despite all the years that the Reminders application has been available, there is still no way to sort by name, date or anything else. It seems that Apple engineers never bothered to test the application with more than one item in a list.

As for the iCloud syncing issues, I am reminded of the way Steve Jobs acted so arrogantly towards Dropbox when Apple tried to acquire them.

It would be nice if iMessage synced properly between devices. I have to manually sync my MacBook Pro and iMac to get all my messages up-to-date.
That would be nice, and it would be great also to be able to archive conversations across devices; I do not like to delete nor pin chats.

Good grief the animations are terrible the more I use my phone. It’s horribly jittery. How can a beta screw up the animations this bad? XS Max
I am noticing a lot of “pauses” when navigating the UI. The swipe up to go home animation is so bad for me, I can’t replicate it which almost makes it worse.

Can someone post the build number when it’s installed, curious to know how stable it is via the letter on the build number.
haha since when has build number been an indicator of "how stable" a release is?
I remember a few years back they final released a version which bricked devices haha

“Acted so arrogantly.”

That’s ridiculous.

As much as I love new features, I am very pleased about how polished iOS 14 has been since day one and that they keep on releasing updates which focus on bug fixes. The same goes of macOS Big Sur. iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur are the best releases in years.

Good to see Apple being proactive and working on new features. Seems some people are having issues with the current feature, which have yet to be resolved. Looks as if the majority of people have no issues with ios 14.

What new features would those be in the context of this iOS 14.4 beta?

I realize why Apple is doing it (discouraging piracy), but that and not allowing people to take a screenshot are not very wise.
Very true, I hadn’t thought of that but why can’t they make it so that when someone’s screen records or takes a screenshot the capture is a blank screen, like with movies in Apple TV?

That's not completely true. A rumour which claimed to have seen leaked Verizon slides said they said it would be out by the end of year. I don't think I've ever seen anything that Apple said it would be coming at all...

Still Dual SIM 5G works in China since launch on iPhones with 2 physical SIM cards. 5G also works if you have an eSIM on it's own or a physical SIM so it seems like all the hardware can do it. I can only suspect it's a firmware issue that needs an update from a third party so because it's out of Apple's hands they aren't committing to it.

I'd like it but with the pandemic I'm not traveling much. By the time that probably changes the iPhone 13 will be out so I'll grab one of them with a 5G plan then I guess.
I am having Chinese Version and 5G on Dual Sim works i think if the other sim is LTE which is what i have and it works. It doesnt seem to work when both sim are on 5G on standby mode.

So far handoff from the iPhone 12 to HomePod mini using the U1 and taptic touch. Shortcut app sets the wallpaper action. Voiceover has a direct touch apps feature.

Hi all! From Sweden here and I wonder if any of you have problems with batterydrain? Especially you with i12-series

Can you search (system search) for a specific reminder? If so then the option is there just not in it's own UI.
