Are they ever going to fix the laggy System Preferences menu switching animation / Notification center scroll lag?! or it's okay to have these android lookalike ****** sloppinesses with a ~$2500 retina macbook pro?:mad:

Your point might have been valid 3 or 4 years ago but not anymore. But hey, why turn down an opportunity to be provocative AND off-topic in the same post?

Anyone want to check if the Intel drivers are new? There should be a major update in the pipeline.

Looks like it.

i don't exactly get your point. my intention was absolutely just being offensive to point out apple's new behaviour (insane speedy laptops with ui lag with the OS they're coding..).
i don't follow google's new OS performance, everybody should understand what i was thinking, and it's not about provocate...

on the other hand, i couldn't get your "off-topic" comment, what was off-topic?
-ui lag
-an example to get an idea what is ui lag in my opinion

:/

Bottom line is... Update your opinion.

if its for me, 10/10 sir, you got me.
i actually watched some review about the new android flagships, its quite nice to see they fixed these sloppinesses.
but, this forum is about 10.10.4, and sysprefs menu change animations, and the notification center is unacceptably laggy.

I am not saying it's not laggy and I have been pretty vocal about the mess Yosemite has been for a lot of users. I could say that 90% of my posts lately on MR are about Yosemite's issues. I hate the fact that the OS is out since October 2014 and, 6 months later, I still can't use it because it doesn't grant me a stable working environment.

On the other hand, I'm not trying to be rude so don't get me wrong but I hate how some Apple fans can't draw a line and just say stuff about how Yosemite is as laggy as Android when Google has actually improved Android so much while Apple has been doing the exact opposite (on OS X at least). This is not your case obviously since you merely said something without being informed of how much Android has improved. Point is, I though it was blind hate. It wasn't.

You need to provide more detail than that. "the ____ issue" isn't a valuable description.

How about the bug with the All My Files folder. I don't see all the files that I have recently opened in All My Files folder in Finder. I need to quite Finder always to see all the files listed in this folder.

You are out of luck in this beta.

Today's imac graphics update can't be applied to 10.10.4 since it is looking for 10.10.3. I wonder if 10.10.4 already has this or if it now will be impossible to update it?

edit: I used pacifist to copy the update over. hope all is well after reboot....

It's generally a bad idea to blindly do this. It puts the OS into an unknown state that effectively invalidates beta testing, and it may already be patched, or patched in a different way in the betas.

wrong. In my case it had everything to do with the router/osx compatibility (ios was fine in 802.11ac)

While I agree, you cannot generalize wifi issues just because you aren't experiencing any, there is also truth in "buy a new router".

I was using a Trendnet AC1750 which was effectively useless with 802.11AC on both my MY2012 and FY2014 MBP. The issues were wifi speed would drop randomly to ~45Mbps. I tried everything to fix it, nothing worked.

Out of FRUSTRATION (to put it politely) I broke down and bought a 2TB Time Capsule. Out of the box, full speed. 867Mbps just about everywhere in my house, ZERO issues.

Yeah that sucks as a "solution" (unless you are apple), but if you are desperate enough like I was, try it - it works.

Wifi problems have nothing to do with the router. Both MBPs no issues, 2009 MacPro can't keep a connection for more than 5 minutes. Swapped airport cards and same issue.

If you can't be patient to wait for the next beta update to include the fix, you really shouldn't be beta testing OS X in the first place.

There's a reason they block these things from installing on a newer build number.

Do the rest of us a favor and don't file any radars related to graphics on your iMac because you will waste their time and they'll reject your radars until you do a clean install.

Worked for you. I'm certainly not spending money on another router when my €2500 Macbook Pro doesn't work properly with it under Yosemite while it works under Mavericks and while every other device works properly too.

What's wrong with the Wi-Fi?

----------

What issue? I have 2011 MBA and 2015 MBP and not seen issues with Apple router, Asus routers, or anywhere I have traveled.

It's not a problem with the wifi router. It's OSX Yosemite itself that is causing numerous macs to disconnect from the internet at random times!

Whatever is in it, I hope they release it soon. My 10.10.3 NetRestore image is now useless since the new 2015 MBPs can't run anything earlier than 10.10.3 (14D2134). Problem is the App Store version is older then that. So I have to install everything on it from scratch ... probably get done the day they release 10.10.4 when I'll be able to just update the image and will have wasted my time. LOVE working in the dark like this. (And why the heck wouldn't they make the latest version that's possibly needed available to download??)
