And I wonder  how many of these problems with Wi-Fi are due to incorrectly connected cables inside their computers. When I bought my Mac Pro, I was not using Wi-Fi to any large extent. However, when I installed an external HDD dock, I learned that many computers had been shipped with the connections switched. Since I changed those wiring connections, I have not had any Wi-Fi difficulties, and Wi-Fi is used ALL the time with smart phones and iPads and iPod Touch.

it literally has nothing to do with the router but the model of mac, but perhaps Im holding the router wrong

We really need to do away with the archaic wifi protocol and find another way that is actually reliable.

Progress bar for optimization

Not sure if anyone else noticed this little detail, but instead of just a notification saying I'd experience slow down during optimization, I actually got a progress bar that displayed until optimization was done after installation / activation.

Bug in All My Files folder

Can anyone confirm if this fixes the issue with All My Files folder. I don't see all the files that I have recently opened in All My Files folder in Finder. I need to quite Finder always to see all the files listed in this folder.

Did they fix this?

John Doe's MacBook Pro (1)
John Doe's MacBook Pro (2)

John Doe's MacBook Pro (4)
John Doe's MacBook Pro (5)
John Doe's MacBook Pro (6)

I had this issue but found a fix. Can't remember where but I'll post if I do. Google it and you should be able to find a solution.

So rather than yet another thread full of whining, complaining, and "nothing good since Snow Leopard", has anyone dug into 10.10.4 and checked what's new?

I've never had a problem with Yosemite. Not even one. Hope this new 10.10.4 update will fix problems for users with problems

Be nice to get wifi and bluetooth working on all Macs

It would be nice if Apple finally managed to get Bluetooth and Wifi working for all common routers on all current Macs. My 2011 Mac Mini is not bad but my Retina MBP 15" 2.7gHz is hopeless. No chance of getting wifi and bluetooth to work together. Connects to ISP but not to Internet or Server. I believe that Bluetooth interferes with TCP structure. I get a new VDSL-2 modem tomorrow and we will see if that makes any difference. Given that it is an Orange Livebox 3, I am not expecting a lot but it is compulsory in France for VDSL service.

Downloading....... They're getting really fast with new betas!

Bet they have saved BIG BUCKS by using the same verbage to describe upgrades through the years :p
the update "improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.".

That description means as much today as it did in the early OS X days!

After FINALLY upgrading to 10.10.3 a few days ago, I DID KEEP the hard disk containing my Mavericks Time machine backups. LOL

Please for the love of $deity fix Mail.app already, it's really getting old to have multiple applications suspected when Mail.app grows to 55GB.

Exactly my thought. And there's nothing wrong with Tiger, but for pete's sake, the guy is still on 10.4.3. Update to 10.4.11. It was much more stable.

What the hell? If a computer is still on Tiger their computer would be less secure than a large pile of gold right on the street in a dodgy neighborhood

I am one of the frustrated Yosemite users with the wifi issues (been running it since the first developer beta and having wifi issues since then), and, to my surprise, wifi seems to work properly for the first time since last night when I installed 10.10.4 (!)
I even turned bluetooth on (wow) and it seems to work OK.
Maybe all you out there with wifi issues should give it a try.

Are you saying that the Mail application is 55GB in size on your computer?

Please please restore spinning time machine icon.

I thought it was interesting that if you open finder while Time Machine is backing up it shows the spinning icon next to the drive.

...I'll switch from 10.6.8.

I doubt Apple will now reverse the security measures they have applied to KEXTs.

Thank you for reporting this. I'm eager to upgrade (again) to Yosemite and Wifi is one of the main things that's keeping me from it. Let's hope you are right and that this finally fixes Wifi for everyone.

Are they ever going to fix the laggy System Preferences menu switching animation / Notification center scroll lag?! or it's okay to have these android lookalike ****** sloppinesses with a ~$2500 retina macbook pro?:mad:

Android lookalike? My Nexus 5 runs better than my €2500 rMBP on Yosemite animation wise.
