After the series of usb beta problems with 10.11.2 betas, I am afraid of Apple betas.

Dev betas really shouldn't be installed on your main Mac. And they shouldn't be seen as a shortcut to fix any issues you've been having.

"Pre-release software, including Developer Previews, seeds, and betas, should be installed only on devices and systems that you have registered under your Apple Developer Program membership for development and testing. "

https://developer.apple.com/support/pre-release-software/

There really is no need to be afraid if you follow the guidelines.

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming OS X 10.11.3 El Capitan update to developers for testing purposes, just over one week after releasing the second OS X El Capitan update, OS X 10.11.2. OS X 10.11.2 was a minor update that introduced several bug fixes and performance improvements for Wi-Fi connectivity, Handoff, and Airdrop.

The new OS X 10.11.3 beta, build 15D9c, can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center.

It is not known what improvements the third update to OS X El Capitan will bring, but like prior updates, it's likely to focus on security enhancements, performance improvements, and bug fixes to address issues have been discovered since the release of OS X 10.11.2.

We'll update this post with any changes that are discovered in the beta.

Bluetooth still biggest problem..Nothing is fixed in 11.2 regarding this in fact relating with mouse..

Well their 10.11.2 release notes specified a problem I was having was fixed (bluetooth disconnects), but it still happens. I've submitted another diagnostic log on my bug report, so we'll see. It wasn't a problem until late beta builds of El Capitan.
Same here, I was just about to buy a new mouse until it was ackmowledged in the last patch. Maybe it will be fixed in thus release.

Xcode is very unstable under el cap on my setup, no idea what's going on.

I installed a new SSD as my main drive and used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy everything over and use it as my boot drive about a week ago. I have not been offered the latest Beta for download. Is there something I can do to have Apple recognize me as beta tester again?

The last time I was able to use Finder with this much fluidity was 10.5. Finally after 6 years Finder for me is usable again with El Capitan. I look at 10.6-10.10 as the "Finder getting slower and slower" era.

I realize that this might not be other people's first priority but for me Finder is a big deal when it comes to judging an OS X release.

I can agree with this, for since the cycle is now every year, it takes about a year to iron out most of the bugs to make it reliable. OS X El Capitan seems to be a good OS X if it works, so I guess we will have to wait about a year...BUT...then another OS X comes out and temps us to suffer for the year with the updates and then another cycle...on and on...until...we get some sense and say, "enough". :)

Totally, it's not like I'm going to just switch to Windows or something, but when I need my Java to compile and my DAW to produce music, I'd rather not deal with hiccups along the way. My G5 Quad running Leopard and Logic Pro 9 is a rock solid production suite. I much prefer Logic Pro X for it's layout, but at the end of the day stability is the most important. Due to the bunked audio interface drivers in El Cap I've been using the old PPC rig for actual work!

I don't think they' ll get a clue on how to fix Airdrop not working between iPhone 6 and Macbook Pro using Crapitan. It's been month since I've reported the bug and spend time with support, and no fix.

People kept on saying "I am not installing it until .5 is out!" so Apple listened, .5 will be released in January.

(And I will never get my Cubase back, because the second Steinberg start figuring out what exactly happened Apple puts out a new OS X version.)

You probably already know this, but if you haven't paved-over a Time Machine Backup with ElCap, deauthorize your iTunes, and other licenses that are sitting on your machine. Go to the App Store<Purchased< -and redownload Yosemite. Then do this: http://www.macworld.com/article/236...otable-os-x-10-10-yosemite-install-drive.html

Clean install the OS and then restore from your (hopefully available 10.10.5 TM Backup.)

I hope this helps because studio downtime is a terrible thing. PM me if needed.

And you're one of those blind people who don't see and understand anything. You're quick to brand everyone as Apple haters even they have been long time Apple users and loved the OS X for what it was until 10.9.5. Stop making stupid comments! OS X is full of bugs and these useless betas aren't fixing anything despite quicker realeses and I'm really sad at affairs of things at Apple these days as they don't care to fix the bugs even if you reports bugs to them and cooperate with them in giving diagnostic reports etc.

Wait, Apple's not reading my crash reports? I sure hope Avid is.

My 4K display used to turn on after sleep/wake after I unplugged/plugged it into a different port. Now it simply doesn't work at all.

My 4K display already doesn't come back by unplugging or changing inputs/ports on 10.11.2, but I'm hearing it won't come back even from a restart on 10.11.3. What a cluster.

A lot of us need to know if it's stable with older software like Photoshop and Illustrator in CS4 as well as Microsoft Office 2008. I've seen this question on a lot of forums but no clear answer. I don't want to upgrade to the subscription based versions - the older ones do what I need.

10.11.2 fixed some of the issues I was having with certain games. In my opinion 10.11 was a poor release by Apple, hopefully it improves with these updates..

If you own one of the Retina MacBooks, 10.11 is a godsend because 10.10 and earlier are dogs on that machine.

Hoping SMB support is greatly improved. Already, I've reconnected to my Windows Servers 3 times. El Capitan repeatedly forgets which folders I have open, and periodically tells me I don't have permission to open view said folders.
