i hope the "i hope this'll fix" posts will be fixed soon, because it's really annoying to read about things that are obviously a problem on a computer level instead of a global omnipresent bug implanted throughout the OS.

This may be the 4 gin and tonics talking from
The company Christmas party, but how about you fix f'in quick look in Finder? No one gives a crap about FaceTime audio.

What's the issue with Quick Look? None of my macs experienced any issues with QuickLook in Finder on Mavericks. It's quick, responsive, and does what it is supposed to do.

Do you have custom quick look plugins that could be the cause?

A lot of folks like FaceTime audio, kept saying it provides a better call experience compared to the regular phone calls. So, adding this to OS X will be useful for those folks.

Yup I’m one of these folks

They are working on future revisions well in advance. This one was probably started weeks ago. Look to any open source project and you'll see a "Timeline" tool where they are planning changes and updates several versions into the future. It's not really a start-stop-start-stop process. There's several overlapping versions in development at any given time. They are also working on OS X 10.10 and iOS 8 right now, too.

Hum, I was pretty sure they were working on 10.10 already.. That's almost a no brainer. But I didn't know that they work on several point updates at the same time. Thank you for clarifying.

Any chance this will fix the 2013 Airs periodically freezing on a black screen? my friend exchanged one with that issue and the replacement does the same thing. Apple pretty much said they won't replace it again because it is a problem for many people, and they were working on a software fix.

I have the exact same issue. Although it only happens when I watching something in full screen and the computer put the screen into sleep mode, and you can never wake up the screen afterwards. Very annoying to be honest !

Yes, sorry I didn't clarify. I would love to be able to airdrop between my iPhone and MacBook Pro.

Yeah this ticks me off. I remember everyone told me, oh to get the most from Macs you have to have everything Apple because they all work together in the ecosystem. So I get an iMac and I'm all excited to be able to quickly zap pics from my iphone to it, but nope :( Seems like such a simple thing too.

"FaceTime Audio" is a prime example of Apple just waits sooooo long for seemingly minor features. I mean how hard can it be to turn the camera off during a call? It's such a convenient feature especially when you're dealing with limited data allowance. I'm glad it's finally here but this could have even available from day one.

Images don't remember resize as they once did

That's weird I just tried this and after pressing alt all images stay full sized. Maybe they already fixed it?

Edit:
Well actually it'll work the first time I cycle through it but then I'd have to close the quick look and do it again.

What's the difference between FaceTime audio and a phonecall? Besides that one has the ability to do it over WiFi....

Think Skype but with high quality audio (it's very clear in both ways) and no ads, plus strong integration with iOS/OS X.

Folks are saying the quality of the calls are so high that they just can't go back to the regular cellular calls anymore.

In addition, it won't eat up any minutes on your plans, nor restrict you to a specific country since it is just IP data that can go anywhere.

IPhoto, once you login into your iCloud account, automatically downloads photos from your Photo Stream. Likewise, your iPhone should be uploading your photos to your Photo Stream automatically once it's on wi-fi.

Just stating this in case you didn't know. It's pretty seamless.

Edit- I do agree, however, that Mac-to-iOS AirDrop would be nice for a multitude of things and should clearly be implemented sooner rather than later.

The implementation on the phone and the desktop can't actually talk to each other. I except cross device airdrop to be a major part of Apple's expected iOS/OSX integration, meaning it may not be there for another year or two.
