10.9.1 has brought me (running the late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro):

* random kernel panics (happens when running VMware Fusion) - same as in 10.9.0

* Mail.app checking "Automatically" fails - same as in 10.9.0

* PDFs sometimes are displayed without a scroll bar and do not allow scrolling - same as in 10.9.0.

* Video performance seems to randomly get *really* sluggish at random times - same as in 10.9.0.

* Bluetooth has "died" on me once. I could not disable/enable it to get it working again, I had to reboot (this did not happen in 10.9.0).

Please, bring on 10.9.2. And make it quick. PLEASE.

umm... not even a week and already 10.9.2 is seeded to developers

Must be some bugs Apple missed...

The only thing i can recall as Apple would push this update so quickly to developers, is if its serious... like pushing out the iPhoto 9 but unable to open the application. till 9.1

Face time audio, you bet its serious. However, i can't even believe this never existed on Mac with Facetime....

So, you could see people, but not have a audio conversation ?

Maybe i'm wrong, but this seems a bit "iffy"....... Why would Apple not do this ?

Seems, Apple not the first time to do slip-ups like this... iBooks was one too...

Still waiting since 2012 for them to fix the usb 3 issues with usb 2.0 audio/sound cards. You get clicks pops etc but you can just drag in the usb 2.0 kept drivers to fix the issue so it's bad 3.0 coding! Poor show apple. Slack on the issues here, I want fixes not FaceTime audio.

Has anyone else noticed that the mouse movement now feels reaaaaallly slow... as if there is a drag delay on everything.

I normally run smoothmouse so maybe that is just failing? but it happens both using a normal wired mouse and my wacom tablet after updating...

Nvidia driver version has gone up though.

Quick Reminder

hey guys reading some of your issues you been having with OS X and some of them aren't completely macs problems.

Lets start with the basics make sure all of your software is up to date.

You may want to run the Disk Utility application in the Utility folder, updates and installations can change permissions. Sometimes you may need to boot to recovery partition and run Disk Utility there to fix things.

For more severe problems run single user mode and keep running repair disk terminal command until its better, and also try some PRAM and SMC reset. This can correct issues with keyboard's and accessories.

I would highly recommend if its been a while and you can, do a clean install of a new OS.

**PLEASE MAKE GOOD BACK UPS & DON'T DO IT IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS**

A good amount of bugs and weird issues that happen to some but not the majority of the users can be fixed this way since they are not the OS's fault or simple updates can never fix.

10.9.1 has been pretty stable, as has 7.0.1 Safari, except for the fact that the previous page bug still occurred. But I have not done a clean install in a while. So I wont call it yet till i have more time with the update.

This beta has seriously messed up my Mac's audio.

Speakers sound like tin cans. Tried a PRAM and SMC reset and checked my audio preferences :-/

Looks like I'm gonna be on headphones for a while.

long ago....the empire built a new weapon SL os x. Darth Vader accompanied with the Emperor had taken control of users and maintained order within apple community... They would crush rebels (bugs) who opposed peace.....

....(star wars theme music)....

Star Wars VII: end of the buggy os x

Thumbs up for the Facetime Audio! :)

Hopefully they fix this: the swiping desktop and mission control animations start stuttering when compressed memory is used. This starts happening a few hours after the compressed memory is being used (Even if it's just 5 MB). I have a MBP 13" mid 2010.

Yes, now that you mention it. I knew something didn't feel right.

For me, Mavericks was the first version of OS X that didn't add that slow feeling to a standard PC USB mouse, feels like they've gone and put that back in.

FaceTime audio is pretty cool. Are the beach balls fixed? I just updated so, yeah, I'm trying not to think about them.

Its nice that they added it to the Mac but I never really used it. I have used it once or twice but that was only cuz I wanted to try it and the person I was calling with it was across the room.

Consumer OS.

Consumer? Hmmmm, guess I've been a delusional professional for the past 13 years... thanks for waking me up! Time to switch to a "real" operating system.

I also have been using OS X professionally in the 3D animation market... it's not a 'consumer' OS. Though you could successfully argue that it is consumer-friendly.

Apparently anything that doesn't require a corporate IT staff to keep it running semi-sufficiently is considered a "consumer OS." :p

Yeah this ticks me off. I remember everyone told me, oh to get the most from Macs you have to have everything Apple because they all work together in the ecosystem. So I get an iMac and I'm all excited to be able to quickly zap pics from my iphone to it, but nope :( Seems like such a simple thing too.

That's what iCloud's Photo Stream feature is designed to do...

Have you checked your mouse tracking speed?
Maybe the update reset some settings.

It doesn't make much sense that one has to first upload their photos and videos to Apple's servers and then download them to their Mac again when the two are sitting few centimetres from each other.

The least they can do is update the Image Capture.app to support transfer of photos/videos from iOS devices over wireless LAN. Better yet, add support for Wi-Fi Direct (AirDrop) to eliminate the need for routers (and the bottleneck associated with them).

Yes, sorry I didn't clarify. I would love to be able to airdrop between my iPhone and MacBook Pro.

Will love to see that happening too.

But, I think Apple is "holding off" this feature which surely could have been implemented if Apple wanted too.

Apple is very serious and strict regarding security on iOS. That's one of the reasons why an "ARD-client" isn't available on the iPad.
I know you can jailbreak it, but that's a pro-active human action willingly done to compromise the iOS device security. No "Apple's fault" here is something goes wrong.

It could be that AirDropping a file from a Mac to an iOS device ATM is in Apple's opinion a too easy a way to get malicious code or something on the iPad, and that Apple is trying to figure out how to enable this as near as possible 100% secure...

I have a question about the disk util, sometimes when I verify disk it says I have bad attributes and to run it in recovery, but I just run it again it says no issues. SMC reset doesnt not work, or at least I doesn't do what the youtube videos show, I have ran apple hardware test and found no issues.

I hope they fix the windows, OS X 10.8 could remember without problem the position and size of every window I ever opened, on Mavericks they get reset every time, it's quite annoying.
