They unfortunately caught up to the way that everyone else has done it since Windows Me and Android v1. Linux as an OS basically is this, but at least you can fix the issues yourself. This year is the first I am running the old OS until at least .1. Hence why I'm checking this out.I think apple stumbled upon a cheat by allowing themselves to release an incomplete OS on time and piecemealing its major features to keep the buzz going throughout the year. I think it's a solid strategy. Hopefully the extra time it buys them allows apple to put out better quality software
I was going to wait until 17.1, but I just got my 15 Pro Max, so I have no choice on that. Not sure if I can stay on 9 or will need to go to 10 for Watch.
people need to understand that all software is always in beta, everything in life is in beta. you just need to be aware of the issues and decide if you are willing to make the jump and deal with the rough edges. it will never be perfect or ready.
You're partly correct, but Apple used to be better than this. It's gotten really bad on desktop since they started the iOS-ification of the UI. I'd say recent releases felt more like alphas and the .1 felt like the beta, with later releases feeling like finished products.
Not only you, iPhone widgets are black. Also, there are many lags in Wi-Fi menu (when clicking available networks), drop-down menu stutters and opens for 20-30 seconds with Super-low FPS

Are you using iCloud Private Relay? If so, that caused a similar bug for me on Ventura. I think it wasn't fixed until 13.2 or 13.3. Only workaround was to disable PR. Thankfully I had NordVPN at the time, but that would break Amazon shopping. It actually saved me money, as I canceled Prime lol.
