People on here will defend Apple for everything  Apple can do better, they have done better.. over the last few years they've been dropping the ball. It's not a matter of opinion, it's fact.

If the feature is still that underdeveloped.. they shouldn't have announced it. If we were talking about a small company, I'd get it. However, Apple is way too large of a company to overlook something this much.
You probably are new to delays applied to large companies, one example of numerous, Airbus 380 delay story is well reported, the plane was delayed for 2 years and cost overruns were in billions.

What are the chances that people still won't like the new Battery Health solution in 11.3?

The phone would still shut down on poor battery performance anyway after management enables anyway.. Miss-communication or no miss-communication, the lawsuits would continue.

I get the feeling no matter how info you tell the user. all people wanna say is "I don't want my phone slowed down at all"

I know Apple's trying to mitigate the problem, but i don't think it's helping..

Are you really comparing an airplane to a software feature... o_O.

I love Apple, I really do. However, they're capable of messing up and in this case they did. Apple is too large and experienced of a company to make an oversight like this. Also, I'm sure all the people who bought HomePod's are completely fine with it missing a major feature as well...

We can agree to disagree.. but I'm not that blinded by admiration for Apple to think otherwise. They messed up.. it's that simple. Don't announce a feature if it's not ready, especially if the feature still needs that much work.

Current Apple's consumer reasoning suggests that if the product sells like toilet paper, then it's a success. They play for stockholder margins now and consumers support their practices, that's how brilliant their marketing is.

Imagine justifying this by comparing a 2 year built airplane vs not being able to update a wireless feature being the richest company on earth in over a year.. this is the world today ;)

How has Google been able to do it with multi-speaker Chromecast Audio (basically multiple chromecasts connected with wifi, each with headphone jacks to connect to the speaker) since September 2015?

Google doesn't have a HomePod where they're using beamforming (precise control of phase) to direct sound. Apple mentioned that a pair of HomePods will "work together". This is what I think is taking them so long.

In beta 3, I could not get Messages in the cloud to sync correctly on all three devices. After installing beta 4 they synced together perfectly. (After some minutes)

Also turning OFF iCloud messaging and restarting the device works! iCloud messaging remains OFF, until you turn it back on. With beta 3, it would turn back on by itself.

People complain a lot. I feel sorry for you people who see everything in the world as disappointment.

Can we please stay on topic? Technical specifics about this particular beta*

I hear this a lot, but I don't see it that way. At least not in my experience. In 2017 alone, I've been really happy with the hardware and software on my AirPods, iPad Pro 10.5, iPhone X, and Apple Watch Series 3. Delays and such, I don't really worry about because I can't control it.

Please tell me what’s new

I really wish they'd create new articles for each of these betas to outline what's new, then link to the original article with all the other stuff in the previous betas. It's baffling when you first see one of these.

If Apple doesn’t make it so that the battery doesn’t degrade, i’m suing!

I am ready for iMessage in the cloud already. Get to finding those bugs, Apple.
Working great for us so far! (But only after installing beta 4)

The thing is I don't want to put my Apple Watch on beta. And if I put the phone on beta, I would have to do the watch as well.

Maybe I am wrong, but you don't have to do that. I have my iPhone X on 11.3 and my Apple Watch on 4.2.3, which I believe is the current version. Yes, absolutely do not put the watch on a beta. I made that mistake once.

Please tell me this fixes the Messsages out of order bug. It’s brutal, and my “normal” non-tech friends bash Apple relentlessly for it. It’s a bug which really is hurting their brand in the mainstream.

Anyway, anyone know if this bug is fixed?
