Apple Seeds Fourth Beta of macOS 14 Sonoma to Developers

Working fine on a M1 Mac Mini. Even the Game Mode is working well, as when I play World of Warcraft (granted, not the most taxing game out there), it does play smoother with a higher frame-rate using the same settings I had before.
 
Fortunately this is just a work laptop that we use for testing apps and JAMF management policies. I'll try recovery mode in the morning when I get back to work.
 
Hoping this fixes the failed to download, something went wrong trying to play podcast app I’ve had on both my iPhone and MacBook betas.
 
The first 3 betas installed fine for me on my M1 MBP but this one didn't go so well. I was left with a black screen and a black keyboard.

I was able to boot into safe mode and reinstall beta 23A5286i which got me back up and running. I haven't tried to update to 4 again.
 
Everything working here as before: widgets, music app, networking etc.

I was faced with a black screen on install, but just booting up my iMac fixed it.
 
on the login screen is anyone else having the wrong time displayed? its fine once youve logged in.

I actually has one example of Safari 17 just quitting in private mode unexpected with DB4. No reoccurrence, but likely all the security changes implemented, then this seed 2 weeks later. I am not seeing Safari 17 look like its busy sometimes with loading MacRumors URL's like it was doing with DB2/DB3 so thats better.
 
Can someone check if they fixed the Home app to be able to control what's playing on the hompods? It used to be possible on previous macOS versions but not anymore.

I cannot control a playing HomePod via Home app - can see it is playing but not what is playing nor control the play. I can see it/control it (the HomePod) from the Music app.

Edit: But to be clear, cannot do this with Home app on Ventura 13.5 either. I can with Home app on IOS/iPadOS 16.6.

Thanks for checking. I was able to control playback the way it works on iOS/iPadOS, before Ventura, 12.0 I think.

Randomly had my screen go glitchy, then black with the cursor (as others have reported) for a bit before it returned to the login screen. Upon logging in both network interfaces were no longer working (ethernet or wifi). No amount of restarts would fix it.

Deleting the interfaces and re-adding them in the Network settings did.
 
Wiped the drive and reinstalled. Made me go back to Monterey and then upgrade from there. Kind of a hassle but it is working now.

Opens here. If you're using Apple Music and iTunes Match (i.e. no local tracks at all) maybe try removing local files.

This is for people who've already upgraded, of course. Better to just wait for b5.
 
I have the opposite problem: Music won't quit, or rather it will immediately relaunch when quit :|

Oh and the WindowServer crashes are now constant, requiring removing and replacing network interfaces every time. Worst beta I have encountered in my history of running betas going back to Copland

Anyone having Finder issues? Not responding from multiple restarts. Force restart and relaunch does nothing. Cannot save files from applications as it won't bring up the window. Cannot save downloads from chrome as won't bring up windows. Safari goes to downloads without the save as window so ok. I get the color wheel when a finder window should open. Same for Photoshop when wanting to save as or export as...color wheel. Beta 4
...Damn, preview app too opens but Cannot load a file, says app not responding. ;-(
