Each time I install a beta, and this time is no exception (it's happened 9 times so far ...), as my laptop is booting up completing the install, my Apple ID gets locked. My phone and iPad get popups asking me to login to iCloud, after which I get the message that the account is locked. So I unlock it and then am forced to pick a new password. At the moment, I just change a number in it, hence why I know it's been 9 times so far :)

So I have to log back in to iCloud, iTunes, the App Store, FaceTime and iMessage on all my devices. I've become efficient at this process but it's irritating.

This time, before installing the beta I thought ti try logging out of iCloud on my laptop before running the installer. NO different.

I don't see other posts on this, so is this only happening to me? I log a Feedback each time, but anyone got any ideas what could be doing this? It seems the install must be probing my account with an old password somehow and failing.

Yeah, my new MBP is connected via USB-C to a hub that powers a "regular" USB SSD. Whenever I leave the thing alone for a while, it goes to sleep and the USB drive is disconnected. Also happened with my Garmin (acts like a USB drive).

It's irritating and could lead to data corruption since it doesn't dismount the drives cleanly (so you get the notification warning on the screen).

I haven't tested it directly connected via USB-C adapter (without the Satechi hub).
One of my coworkers starting using this to stop the issue, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amphetamine/id937984704?mt=12.

No. My MBP doen't have USB C
I've only seen it with the new MBPs, figure it was USB-C driver issue.

Unfortunately not. It started with Sierra. If I go back to El Capitan everything works fine. My iPhone also connects and dissconnects rapidly at times.

It says my Photos Agent.app & Spotlight.app are using significant energy which is strange as my Photo app is not running, nor and am I actively using Spotlight.

Since updating 10.12.2, I've been noticing some strange behavior with Safari - particularly with opening new tabs. When I enter an address, that website will seemingly "take over" another tab that is currently open. If I have say Google and Facebook open, opening a new tab and navigating to MacRumors will cause either Google or Facebook to do the same. It's the weirdest thing.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Photos Agent is a background app that handles Face Detection, location, and syncing. Spotlight is most likely indexing your drive—in the background. So while you THINK you're not using them, you actually are.

I wonder if this fixes the Graphics bug on Early 2015 13" rMPB. Upon waking computer from sleep, the screens colors are all inverted for seconds to minutes. This has persisted in every Sierra update so far. I've reset PRAM and SMC. Reinstalled. Still happens. Doesn't happen on El Capitan funny enough. Apparently I'm not alone as others on Apple's community forms and Reddit are complaining of the same.

Since the last 2 betas i seem to have problems with MDS and MDworker again, I say again cause I had this problem before a few years back, adding all disks to Spotlight Privacy Tab won't work, even after killing both processes it still reads and writes too much and eats processor time.

But, what is fixed in this last beta (for me) is that my sleep light works again after not working for a long time.

What happens if you (next time with an update) create a new empty (Admin)User, log into that one and update from there.

As above, open Activity Monitor and see if MDworker and MDS are using considerable resources, these are Spotlight processes.

Seems to me Spotlight/MDS/MDworker do have some problems again.

I just switched off spotlight altogether, problem gone.

Is it fixing MB 2016 graphic glitches with external monitor? Occasional shutdown during startup boot? We've had so much problems with these machines (we bought five and all share the same problems.. worst Apple product ever).

I have the new mac and the new 4k display. It's not fixed, or there are other graphics bugs. I agree this is the worst mac I've ever had.

The display comes on in the middle of the night from sleep and doesn't come on when opening the laptop. Same glitchy graphics as ever.

For me, macOS Sierra has been the worst update ever. I normally wait until .3 before upgrading but jumped at .2. That'll teach me!

If I open a file in TextEdit that's more than a couple of hundred lines, typing is slow and scrolling is very jerky and jumpy. If I open the same document in Microsoft's Visual Studio Code it's as smooth as butter so it looks like a TextEdit bug to me.

I have the same problem in Coda 2 (their devs are investigating) so I wonder if it's a framework that Coda 2 uses that's also used in TextEdit. Perhaps VS Code uses its own libraries?

It comes to something when third party macOS software from Microsoft works about a million times better than a built in Apple app.

Seriously hoping that .3 fixes my problems or I may have to Time Machine back to El Capitan (really missing that OS).

I'm seeing this exact same issue on a Mac Pro 2010 with GTX 680. Very different hardware, but most definitely the same issue. Yes, hopefully this will be fixed!

i wonder if they fixed the USB bug where drives are disconnected and not recognized after waking from sleep...

Are you using a USB-C adapter to connect the hard drive? Some drives aren't compatible with the Apple branded adapters... especially the HDMI/USB adapter. Bought a generic $2 USB-C adapter and all my drives are back to functioning normally. Go figure

No, It's a 2015 MBP. Th issue is with Sierra since everything works normally if I reinstall El Capitan
