So many people complaining baout the ATV4

they should try using it outside of USA, then they would know what a POS it really can be. But thankfully there are tons of really garbage apps, some overpriced controllers, and no siri to help with everything.

This exactly. I bought one recently (in the UK). If I hadn't already told my mum she could have my old ATV3 I'd have returned the ATV4. The BBC is the only major broadcaster here to have an app on there, an app with no favourites feature and that doesn't work with Siri (neither does Netflix, and of course there's no Amazon). What the heck is the point?!

What I find most offensive is they charge full price for it. It's basically crippled outside the US (and Canada?), it should be heavily discounted.

Also - the glass bit of the remote is a smudge magnet. A minor niggle to put the serious problems into perspective.

I am certainly seeing some other issues now appear during live playback of channels. The error i was getting during launch day was Error Code 60 which was stating my other live stream was needed to be closed in order for this live view to work - which was not the case as wide spread people have reported this. I am now seeing that occasionally now more often the channel would freeze where i need to stop it and relaunch the damn app to get the video playing again. Its definitely not my internet service as i have 200mbs down service via cablevision long island, NY. Anyone else seeing this issue? Im going to have to report it to the ATT direct tv now forum.

I miss the days when you didn't have to update the software on your TV/watch/phone...

You still don't have to. If you want to use features that it is necessary for, then you have to do it. Don't update it, and they still function the same as your old tv, watch and phone that didn't need updates.
