Far from how you described. It is indeed one of Apple’s best innovations to date.Apple - strap on device innovations!
I have. But it still needs polishing. They need to do it the way the iPhone is mirrored to the Mac. They need to make Vision Pro unlock the phone. They need to allow the phone to be off when mirroring. They need to allow Vision Pro to control the phone.Has anybody been able to use iPhone mirroring whilst using the virtual display on Apple Vision Pro?
The ultra wide allows for multiple windows within the desktop. It can be so huge you can place sooooo many windows on it.I would so buy one if these if I could have multiple windows open on my Mac with it. That feature would be a new era in computer user interface - imagine never needing a mouse or trackball ever again.
Ah interesting! I haven’t tried it on the last 2 betas, I ran in to an error code that said “unable to launch whilst phone is in sidecar mode”.. which I know is an iPad feature; however, I’ll give it a whirl on beta 4!I have. Am sure we will reach there, but now it is just pure mirroring and quite irritating to use.
Having said that, it does allow you to play multiple videos with audio. I could play 3 at the same time, 1 via phone mirroring, 1 via Mac mirroring and 1 on Vision Pro. Useful when you wish to watch say soccer and news at the same time
Tried Ultrawide and went back to Wide - it's more manageable (i'm using several desktops anyway). The ultra wide allows for multiple windows within the desktop. It can be so huge you can place sooooo many windows on it.
But control is still needed, I can’t imagine AVP without keyboard or trackpad for productive work.
But like u, I also hope AVP can control the Mac directly, instead of via the app
I've actually bought AVP because of 2.2 update, Wide display sold it for me.Far from how you described. It is indeed one of Apple’s best innovations to date.
Most people complain about the price, some about the features. But the features are improving, from version 1.1 to 2.2, Apple has not stopped and 2.2 was what got me interested enough to go for a demo
