Battery life is pathetic on my iPhone XS Max, battery health shows 100%. On a recent trip I used waze on both (fully charged) iPhone XS and Pixel 4a5g. Only Waze was on, no other apps. At approximately 4 hours the iPhone was at 21% and the Pixel at 91%. There is something wrong with 14.6.

You guys think we'll make it to 14.8 this year? Would be the first time for a x.8 release. Last year we got the first x.7 and x.6 release. Seems like they aren't afraid to increase second position version numbers anymore, instead of having numbers like 9.3.6 like they did a few years ago.

IDK why this is interesting to me.
Possible. My iPad Air is running 12.5.4. 12.5 came out well after 13 and Apple was not supporting iOS 12 on devices that could upgrade to 13. Now that they are supporting 14 and 15 simultaneously, I certainly expect there to be a .8. Maybe even a .9 a year or more from now.

The apple podcast app on 14.6 is killing my iPhone 12 Pro battery. Playing a podcast makes the unit warm up a lot, and the battery really starts to disappear. I really hope that is fixed. Listening to podcasts is probably the number 1 thing I do on my phone. But this kind of heat and battery usage is very noticeable, and never happened before.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

14.6's battery chewing was sooooo bad on my 12pm and 21 iPad Pro, I HAD to update to a beta ...

so far, battery consumption is noticeably better, especially on the iPad Pro, fo shizzle
