That tool can't artificially create correct background from interpolation algorithms with larger areas of missing information. It's like this image shows. the girl with the missing arm on the right.

Indeed, smaller areas are OK, larger areas are bad. Worse than e.g. StableDiffusion on the same MacBook. But I suppose the model supplied by Apple is smaller, especially on iOS.

Hope they fix Safari - I have already had mine crash twice in 10mins after never crashing on the previous OS.
First impression - safari in Sequia is rubbish

Heh, this amused me and made me chuckle. Even though Carbon's looong been deprecated, on life support, and only really meant for internal Apple use (and the [I}occasional[/I] use by whatever rare app you might find in the wild that still happens to have Carbon code in it,) the framework's still there poking its head up in a few places, alive and kicking, even outside of any uses it has/might have in Cocoa's implementation. Salutes. Keep on trucking, buddy!

be careful if you plan to update your iphone Friday or soon. cloning info prefers non beta.
Yeah I updated to RC, which is the non-beta build number, super hyped for 16P (hopefully it won’t come on October because I ordered one of the least chosen configs - Nat Titanium, 512GB)

My notification summaries have seem to disappeared in beta 4. Which is a bummer because I love them. I saw someone else mention that on this thread too. Anyone find a work around? I would guess maybe they have to be re-enabled, but I can't seem to find a place to do that either.

I do see someone had the option to set it up above in a thread, so I have hope that it still exists and has just been switched off somehow on my device.

With MacOS 15.1 beta 4 right after updating it asked if I wanted to combine all the notifications into a summarized notification or do it later. So there should be a way to examine this on the OS in question against all the apple apps for if it enabled or not.

I’ll double check to see if anything has changed but my s/w updates have been set to the 15.1 beta. I’m currently on beta 3

I didn't get the update for Beta 2 until I changed the region to a country where Intelligence is available. Don't know if this was needed for later updates because I left it on U.S. as region although I don't use this AI stuff.

Finally got it to work. Turned off ai, rebooted, turned back on. Working for me now. And writing tools are working for the first time for me in pages. Not sure if latest pages release or this beta since I didn’t test before I had both.

took a bit for mine to start again. probably indexing or something. my phone was hot as hell after reboot for a while

iPhones 16's don't ship with 18.1 betas. So 18.0 build.
There is yet to be a 18.1 PB, we think the first pone will be against beta 4.
Ugh. Sucks because I’m probably going to have to load 18.1 on the new phone in store for the transfer, unless I can downgrade to 18.0?

M4 Pro was something like 1.1 or 1.3 GB if I remember correctly.
Interesting as my M1 iPad Pro was only 760MB or so, 15PM was in the 960MB range and this was from 18.1 B3 on both. UK devices set to the US region for Apple Intelligence.

Downloading now. Hope it fixes my dark mode bug, for some reason the iOS 18 dynamic wallpaper won't change with the time, so it's been stuck with the pink/blue color even in dark mode.

Apple AI does not work on Intel Macs. So I could care less.

Probably needs at least a year to be at its best.
