On B4 the UI is significantly smoother on the 16 PM, still a very slight stutter when swiping been home pages but overall it’s so much better.
How heavy can it be to keep a smooth frame rate when scrolling between home pages one wonders. IOS 18.5 did also suffered from random frame drops and stutter so I have low hopes on the iOS 26 will be any better in that regard. some of the problems is most certainly caused by the promotion that seem to favor battery life rather than 120hz on iPhone

This has been one of the worst beta season since before public betas were a thing. I used to pay $100 just so I could get the betas.

Anyway, iOS 26 chews up my battery like nothing else ever has. If I do anything other than just browse websites, with minimal images, my phone is too hot to charge.

But I stick with it and I find someway to cool it down while charging. MagSafe charging is almost impossible in my car with any little heat from the sun it’s too hot even being right in front of the cooling vent.

Anyway, I know what I signed up for. Just stating this beta season has been particularly rough. Hoping for some taming of the heat soon.
I agree battery life sucks and MagSafe gets super hot, but aside from that I think this beta has been much smoother than last years.

please apple, it’s been so long and we are still stuck in ancient ipod land for basic music functionality - give us a real system wide graphic eq that remembers individual settings for all your bluetooth devices. not difficult and far more useful than changing icons, background noise or more emojis.

Anyone else get a brick/bootloop upgrading from beta 3 to beta 4? Left my phone updating on my nightstand and came back to have it bricked. 16 Pro Max.

I turned off intelligence and battery life improved by maybe 30%.

Update: Found a pretty significant bug when it comes to the bottom icons in mail. With the phone set to dark mode, anything with a white background and the icons are unreadable, scroll to a darker section and they show up ok.
Yeah, that's fairly annoying one — surprised they missed that...

Not sure if this is related but my OnStar seems to not like the beta’s. Module and antenna were replaced months ago. No red light on OnStar. Now it only lasts a maximum of 8 days before locking up. Red light means no emergency calls and no CarPlay display. Reboot fixes it but clears the error code. There’s no error log. Once it reboots back to green log is cleared. 2024 Chevy Malibu.

Patiently waiting for the public betas here. Y'all are heroes struggling through those first betas 🫡

I missed the parallax in iOS 18. It should be there, but there is some kind of a bug for god knows how long time. At the same time, it seems nobody really misses it...

To me Parallax is the background moving behind the superposed contents to mimmic depth: behind the time and other stuff on the lock screen and behind the icons on the Home Screen. (others sometimes assume it is the fluid window transitions and app calling and switching them to the background, but that is motion to me, which has not really had any troubles AFAK)

Now iOS 26 seems to have it back, yay! Is it working well? Any feedback on this in particular?

there's another update? im already on beta 4

Is it me or did Apple reissue beta 4 for the iPhone and iPad but not Mac? I could swear I installed all three Tuesday yet today there was a build ending in "m" today. I thought beta 4 ends in "i".

Has anybody had this problem with iPadOS 26 betas where system settings is just a blank window, I have to click on the icon several times until it shows everything?, this is on iPad Pro 12.9 second generation
I had this all the time on my 2020 11inch pro.

However not had this issue so upgrading to the 2025 iPad Air with M3
