Apple today seeded the fourth beta of OS X 10.10.4 to developers, just over two weeks after releasing the third OS X 10.10.4 beta and a month after releasing the first OS X 10.10.4 beta. OS X 10.10.4 has been in testing since mid April, following the early April release of OS X 10.10.3 with the new Photos for OS X app.

The new beta, build 14E26a, can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store or through the Mac Developer Center.

OS X 10.10.3 brought several consumer-facing changes including the new Photos for OS X app, a redesigned emoji picker, and diversified emoji, but OS X 10.10.4 appears to be an under-the-hood update that brings performance enhancements and bug fixes. Thus far, OS X 10.10.4 betas have not included outward facing design changes or feature additions.

The first two updates to OS X Yosemite, OS X 10.10.1 and OS X 10.10.2, were also minor behind-the-scenes updates that improved performance through bug fixes and enhancements.

Interesting. I've been running the previous beta on my work computer (yes, I know...) and for what I do it's been running well. Wonder what has changed.

Well, there is one SMB share related issue that I have. Maybe that's been fixed. Will try and see.

I guess Apple gave up fixing discoveryd/WiFi/Bluetooth on 10.10. Hopefully it is given highest priority for 10.11.

Yep 3 minutes is so freaking slow. I can't stand it. /s because my connection is pretty fast

Mine sat at three minutes for a little, then apparently other people started to download it and the time jumped to around twenty minutes. :\

Yeah, I still got WIFI issues, it comes and goes, most of the time the problems are gone just after a new beta, then for a few days to 1 week it's OK but it will start again, I have daily disconnects, more than 5 disconnects minimum.

I hope they don't. That would be supremely idiotic of Apple to do so. It affects Apple TV, Home Sharing, BTMM, File Sharing, Wake On Demand... They need to fix this

I don't think they've given up, it did get improved in every 10.x.x updates for me but we've reached the point where ROI is higher on 10.11 than another 10.x.x update.

What kind of issues are you experiencing?

Not attacking you just genuinely curious because I have not been using Photos as much as before on my Mac . . .

Not to jump on someone else's thread, but my biggest complaint is that if you are editing a bunch of images, and delete one, it takes you out of the Editing process, and back to the browser, and you have to click on Edit again.

On an unrelated note, has anyone figured out the difference between the top folder called "Photos" and the album called "All Photos?"
All Photos has about 1,000 more images in my library...

I didn't have any issues before but I noticed connection speed gets better with each beta update.

I am unable to download the update. It downloads until 78MB and then message appears that "Available updates have changed. Click “Show Details” to see the available updates". I click show detail then nothing happens, it is going in loop and not downloading for me. I have restarted the mac but no luck. I am on the public beta btw.
