It won't be. Apple releases OS X and iOS updates concurrently, which is critical to do since both operating systems need many of the same security updates.
Have iOS and OS X releases really been concurrent aside from one or two here or there perhaps?

I hope they fixed the bug where safari would freeze every once in a while when simply typing a few letters in the search bar on 10.11.1.

I'm not sure if this is the same bug but try disabling Top Sites completely in Safari and see if that improves it. If yes, I'd suggest filing a radar or feedback explaining this workaround to them.

If anyone that had usb external drive issues on the last couple betas could let us know if this one is back to normal or still messed up?

("focus on USB" again?)

They're almost always concurrent, yes.
This got me curious as I haven't really paid that much attention to it. Comparing http://robservatory.com/a-useless-analysis-of-os-x-release-dates/ and http://ipod.about.com/od/iphonesoftwareterms/a/firmw_history.htm (assuming the dates are correct) it seems that certainly often enough the releases coincide, but in quite a few instances they also don't. I haven't really spent that much time to figure out the overall percentages so to say, but it seems that they don't coincide enough times at least to suggest that one can certainly happen without the other one happening the same day or even the same week.

I have a Thunderbolt dock with USB 3 ports (OWC's). I am also on this beta. What is the main problem you're having with it?

I have some B&W MM-1 speakers attached and they may or may not work for a while. If I am for example using Spotify and then if I switch to iTunes or Youtube or stop playback on Spotify the speakers will stop working. They still show up in system report as attached. This all worked fine in Yosemite.

As well my console is full of entries such as:

2015-11-17 1:45:38.000 PM kernel[0]: USB Sound assertion in /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleUSBAudio/AppleUSBAudio-302.15/AppleUSBAudioIsocPipe.cpp at line 152

I got so excited when I saw this on the front page, I was immediately thinking I just had to scroll a little farther and see a 9.2 beta 4 post. Guess not. :( My iPad mini 2 still needs a little help with spotlight and app switcher.

Of all the issues on this beta round, USB has had the most issues. Trying to figure out what is the issue with some specialized USB devices breaking.
I don't understand what you mean? have you tried this one?

focus on networking...

Is it just me or does mDNSResponder's behavior look from time to time (in something like Little Snitch) a lot like the way Discoveryd used to act? Sometimes it just goes crazy. Hope they aren't putting the wolf back in mDNSResponder's clothing.

This explains the sleep issues my macbook pro has since updating to 10.11. The same it had from 10.10-10.10.3 or 4 when they dropped Discoveryd for mDNSResponder again. Seriously, why can't the "worlds most advanced operating system" get sleep right?

I have similar issues and error log messages with an external USB DAC. Usually when I wake my iMac from sleep, I have to unplug the DAC for a second and plug it back in to get it working again. Very annoying. Been happening since 10.11.0 but worked fine in Yosemite.

I hope it's just a "glitch" but my MacBook 2011 has become unresponsive twice forcing a hard restart.
