Apple-Watch-Midnight-Blue-250x299-250x273.jpg
Apple today seeded the fourth watchOS 2 beta to developers, build 13S5305d, just under two weeks after seeding the third watchOS 2 beta and more than a month after announcing the new operating system update at its Worldwide Developers Conference.

watchOS 2 requires iOS 9 and can be downloaded over-the-air through the Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General --> Software Update.

watchOS 2 is the first major update to the first version of watchOS, the software that runs on the Apple Watch. The new software brings many new features that Apple Watch developers can take advantage of, including native apps that run on the Apple Watch itself instead of the iPhone. It also allows developers to access the Taptic Engine and a number of other sensors in the Apple Watch, including the heart rate monitor, the microphone, and the accelerometer.

Along with these features for developers, which will lead to much more complex and full-featured third-party Apple Watch apps, the update introduces new watch faces (photo albums and time-lapse), third-party Complications, Time Travel for viewing upcoming events in a watch face Complication, and a Nightstand mode that's activated when the watch is charging, displaying the time.

watchOS 2 is currently only available to registered developers who have also installed iOS 9 on their iPhones. Apple plans to release the software to the public in the fall.

Good news.

The previous 3 have been quite unstable. Hopefully this one fixes things.

Is it live for anyone yet? I installed the profile, but it says it's up-to-date. So I'm guessing they haven't deployed the update yet. This happened with Beta 3 as well.

Downloaded the profile on my iPhone, but the Apple Watch app isn't finding any updates.

Anyone having the same issue?

EDIT: The update just appeared on my iPhone.

It's stuck at preparing for me, after downloading the update..
Ah well, I'll reset and try again later:)
Edit:
A reset did the trick, installing it now, fingers crossed:)

I would love to try out the beta (bugs and all) I have iOS9 on my phone, but no config for the watch as I'm not a developer, is it totally wrong of me to ask here for the config?

And you don't have to lecture me in the "non down-gradable etc etc" I know and I'm fine with sticking with the beta until final release :)

EDIT: sorry for asking :) I hear you

Another watch beta where everyone tries a million combinations of tasks to get it to install, and then can't remember exactly what they did to get it to work

See this please:
We know that many of you are anxious to try the beta versions of iOS 9, the only way to legally do so is to be a registered developer of Apple software or where applicable their public beta.

We do not allow sales of UDID slots or requests for UDID slots, or allow for any discussion about specific steps that need to be taken to run the software without a proper license.

Thanks for your cooperation!

if you love using your watch, don't install the beta. every beta 1-3 has crippled something on the watch. no telling what beta 4 will do

Ok so overall this beta is much faster. The animations are smoother and the app load times are slightly better (workout app loads a bit faster for sure).

Siri is a lot faster!!! Christ what a difference.

I just got an apple watch, and wondered if based on my usage so far if you would guys say the beta is okay to install, pretty much have only been using to view notifications, answer calls/messages and control whatever media im playing on my phone. Given that would you guys say the beta is cool to try. I am aware of the not being allowed to downgrade so im cool with that.
