it's on public so download it? it's an RC so unless they are any major bugs then that's what everyone will get next week or whenever. all you need to do is jump off the beta channel once it's installed so you can get 17.1.1 or any future stable channel patches.
Maybe I will do that, but I assume it’s next week the final release.
Not in the mood to keep restarting the devices after you install the profile and then remove those….

Plus I had in the past a bad experience with iOS 16 RC, after removing the beta profile my phone’s battery drained so fast and nothing would fix it except a full restore.
I just don’t want to go through that again….

this update just got pulled from dev and public beta so dont install it something is wrong with it...Edit looks like its back under public beta only
macOS 14.1 RC on the Dev Beta line not pulled. watchOS 10.1 RC installing on my S9 Watch right now, too.

you don't need to restart it for the profile. just go into settings and toggle on beta channel and it'll download the beta. you only need to restart once it's finished downloading it so it can install (like any other update). 1 restart is all that's needed then you can switch back to stable (no restart required).

updated to 17.1 on 15 pro max.

and 10.1 on watch 9. the double tap figure gesture is cool.

edit: gesture doesn't work in sleep mode or when the screen is off. maybe that's how it's meant to work (probably) but it'd be cool if i could use it to turn the display on. i don't like to keep the screen on at all times.

Does 17.1 bring back the original notification sound? The new one is too damn quiet!

I am reluctant to report that first impression and test on fast.com

the cellular data signal looks stronger. And the speed is higher. Hmmm…

I hope they fix some stuff in Home app. Two of my Wemo switches started bugging out after I updated to iOS 17. Had to reset them. And now no matter what I try, they won't re-add.

any chance this fixes iPhone 12 Pro bricking when restoring from back up? Setting up his new works fine, however, from back up bricks the phone at the Apple logo. Tried everything DFU restore, etc, etc…the works. Anyone have any ideas I will show at your house and give you a hug.

i hear it doesn't fix the random restarts when charging, so either this will be a last-minute fix or in another update.
