I first noticed this issue with 18.0db8 (only because that's the first build I tried): pasting a link in Messages results in a space being automatically added. If you send that link with the space, then it'll be received as a period which shows up just below the link preview.

Has anyone else experienced that bug?

Did you find out? Was wondering the same thing

I’ve installed the RC on most of my devices now and don’t see it yet. I installed 18 and not .1 since my iPhone and iPad don’t support it and I’m not that bold with my Mac.

From the wording of the announcement today it seems it’s been pushed back to iOS 18.1 or to its own release. They may be waiting for the FDA.

Is Public Beta now available for Public Beta Testers to install that update??? Because I just noticed that it’s up now for downloading??? Or is that only STILL FOR DEVELOPERS???

Well about the new hearing aid stuff etc, yes. But the head nod stuff and voice isolation should be out with the 18 release. So confusing

They originally announced that at WWDC but didn’t say when. Then yesterday they mentioned it again, and then talked about the health stuff, and they only said “coming to an update to AirPods later this year.” And mentioned regulatory approval.

Reading all that between the lines it sounds like they are saving it all for one firmware update possibly to go along with the final release of 18.1, possibly not.

So are we going to get iOS 18 first followed by iOS 18.1 or is the first release iOS 18.1 in October? 🧐

I see, could be.
Anyone with 18.1 knows if it is out there?

Can anyone please answer my question that I’ve posted above???

I just wanted to know if I should go ahead and download/install it now since it says it is up for download now on my iPhone. I am a public tester, not a developer.

Please let me know. Thank you.

Thought I read about the ability to set a home hub as the preferred hub (Ethernet connected appletv vs a HomePod mini). Not seeing it at all in the Home app.

I’m also seeing issues with the icons when setting it to follow system settings for light/dark mode. Some icons will be in dark mode when it shouldn’t. Also switching between the 2 when swiping between screens.

If you're a public beta tester, what's holding you back from installing it? The public beta is also the RC build.

Did you also update your Apple TVs/HomePods? They need to be updated as well for that option to show up.

Anyone having app store issues on the RC? On 14PM, can’t download or redownload any apps, the get button spins then goes back to get.
Had a “the store is currently unavailable” message a few times but that seems to have stopped but still no joy. Restarting app/phone hasn’t resolved.

App updates work, just won’t install new apps.

I did. All appletv and HomePods running os18. I also rebooted my phone for good measure.

Battery on iOS 18.0 rc is bad using a 15 pro max reported in feedback app with having the beta turned on under software update section if you guys have similar issue make to report it so Apple can fix it! iOS 17.0 rc last year was way better on battery

I ran into a fun bug on my iPad Pro... I was mass moving some apps around to another page (by selecting multiple apps in jiggly mode and then dragging them all at once.) Well...it moved one app. All the other apps I had selected vanished. They weren't in the App Library, Spotlight couldn't find them, they didn't show up in Settings, they weren't in the new Hidden area. They were nowhere to be found, a reboot didn't even bring them back.

What did bring them back was resetting my Home Screen Layout. I just got done rearranging all my screens back to the way they were by moving the apps one at a time. Didn't dare risk moving multiple at a time and have to start all over again.
how can we report this to apple?
