Im not a developer, and im using it for the same reason everybody is, in my case tnx to a developer friend that enlisted me (as tons of people)

Teach me how to send a feature enhacement request that could be seen by apple ; ) ill do it

Then submit it to your developer friend and they can submit the official RADAR

Downloaded the file and when I try to update via iTunes, I get error 4027. Whats this error code mean?

Did u get the right build for your phone? A1428 or A1429

My big hope is it fixes the lockup issue where the screen goes black and you have to do a hard reset. All of the phones in my dev account are experiencing this :/

Sadly I didn't see anything about it in the release notes. Surely I'm not the only one with this.

I've had this happen on an iPhone 4S for the first 3 betas. Hoping it's gone in beta 4.

Not sure what that error code means but did you install the new beta iTunes from the iOS Dev Center?

No, using current iTunes 11.0.4 on my MBA with Mavericks, is this the reason why?

1429 - iPhone 5 - Australia

Try installing the beta version of iTunes. I'm not sure if that will help as I'm not sure what that code means but it may also mean you probably downloaded and use the wrong iPSW for your iPhone and oh yeah did you even try DFU Mode and full restoring it to Beta 4

Will do, thanks, and I'm sure I got the right version, and never had to use DFU mode ever. Will report outcome.

Yup, I had a similar situation. Tried updating my iPhone 5 and got an error 4207. Tried with my iPad 3 and got an error 3000.

I tried:
- restarting iPhone/iPad
- hard restart iPhone/iPad
- restart Mac
- turning off firewall
- edited my hosts file
- different user
- DFU mode
- different cable
- different port

At the end, I saw there was a new iTunes Beta and figured, hmmm, I should try that.

Installed it and it started working!

Something to consider if people are having problems. Try the new iTunes beta.

Not sure if it's been said but do not disturb icon on status bar changed. Grey not white now

i only had this happen in beta 3. but beta 3 was way more stable than 1 and 2 (on 4s as well). so far beta 4 seems rock solid and even more responsive than beta 3. it might be my imagination, but my cell connection is much better, too, for some reason.

still doesn't work: google+ app.

What exactly does "dimmed" mean? Do you really not hear notifications, or they are so noticeably quieter all of a sudden (and what about vibrate for them, that's somehow softer now too)?

Can confirm on the sounds. Sounds a quiet enough to hear them, but not loud enough to disturb or deafen you. The phone still vibrates - I only got half a vibrate I think, but I may have interrupted it by using the keypad.

I don't have wi-fi at my work, so everything is over HSPA+ or LTE. I do some texting, maybe 20-30 minutes total of web browsing, Chck in Hobbit: KOM for maybe 2-4 minutes an hour. 10 minutes max of angry birds space.

If I have spotify running, my phone is dead in 5 hours typically.

I've never had good battery life on a phone, and I don't know why sometimes. When I was running IOS 6, and jailbroken IOS 6, I'd unplug at 7:30 and my phone would die around 5-7 at night, depending on what I did.

IF your using HSPA+ or LTE most of the day then that is probably your problem especially if there is poor signal strength or a lot of em interference around. If that is the case then streaming services like spotify will drain battery quickly. Even moderate data usage will drain the battery in poor signal areas.

One change is that in the message app, when you click into a particular chat convo, it just shows the contacts full first name and first letter of their last name... this can definitely be confusing if you have contacts with similar names...

I've also noticed that when viewing a conversation in the Messages App, You can swipe your finger to the left and view the times that each message was either sent or received. I don't know how I missed this one and came across it by complete accident. Apple really does need to have a complete manual with every little option and trick that one can find on the iDevices.

This was in the previous betas

swipe up or right to go multitasking page!

Improve the keyboard experience on iOS 7, look at BlackBerry Z10 keyboard, is awesome and we want a keyboard with the same usability experience. Other thing is the multitasking pages on iOS 7, please make them available with a simple swipe to the right, one touch home button, main screen, swipe right and we have access to multitasking pages or when you swipe down to get search iPhone we could swipe up to get the multitasking pages, is much more simple and easy to manage than touch twice on the home button.

Yes!!! I love this feature! Discovered it by accident in beta 2. Confirmed it is not in iOS6 (I thought maybe I had missed this awesome feature in earlier iOS version, but no, it's new for 7).

I keep getting "Apple Developer Update

We appreciate your patience as we work to bring our developer services back online. Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, software downloads, and other developer services are now available. If you would like to know the availability of a particular system, visit our status page.

If your program membership expired or is set to expire during this downtime, it will be extended and your app will remain on the App Store. If you have any other concerns about your account, please contact us.

Thank you for bearing with us while we bring these important systems back online. We will continue to update you with our progress."

I click the status page. The blue link and it keeps sending me to that above.

Edit: So is the Member Center.

my problem with the beta thus far is:

1A)Pause/Skip button on my headphones doesn't work
1B) I couldn't skip tracks via BT in my car this morning.

2)Control Center WILL NOT open no matter how many times I swipe down to up. The search and notification ones work fine. It's rather frustrating

3)When I pause a song in iTunes Radio and hit play it jumps to the next song.

To use control center your suppose to swipe up from the home button and then down to close the control center. Not swiping down to up.

iTunes Radio works fine for me and especially the headphones pause/skip but I don't know if others experiencing this but works fine for me

2. my control center works fine.

3. my pause in itunes radio works fine.

wonder how many others are experiencing the same things as you?

Ok, I got it to go, but only way is to basically push the home button while doing the swipe. It's pretty impractical for me to have to do that.
