is it still going to take 4 hours to repair permissions-I could give a hoot it it SAYS ["repairing permissions-3 centuries remaining"]
as long as the progress bar goes from start to end in in 20 secs or less
(in Tiger its usually 10-or less)for me
killmoms, I did manage to score a development picture of the fabled G5 Powerbook, only a few heat issues to work out before release!

The Mock Turtleneck
Unlikely. That sort of update would require a number of changes to the structure of the OS (implementing HDCP DRM throughout the system) and require hardware not currently implemented across the Mac lineup, to conform with the specifications for Blu-ray and HD DVD. I would imagine we won't see these until OS X 10.6. If they do come to Leopard, it would be an optional, paid update, as that would represent significant functionality changes not accounted for in Leopard's initial sales price. So does it FINALLY add Blu-Ray movie support?!
Time Machine backupd and new AFP backups
Anyone see this in the changelog?
TM backups to any AFP share perhaps?
Just FYI, CMD+Click opens the folder.
NOPE, nice try but no cigar!
All that does is LOCATE WHERE the folder is!
Not a bad feature mind you, but not the same thing as a single click that opens a folder from the dock.
BAD APPLE!
Anybody else?
ummm... you could just right click on the folder and select "List". The folder then opens up like as in Tiger.

Hey Mock---
When should we be expecting 10.5.3 to be released into the wild?
Just FYI, CMD+Click opens the folder.
Caps lock unactivation by quick-tap is a feature of the latest computers... this way you won't unwillingly activate it, but you have to press it longer to be sure you WANT to activate it..
bye
My only other bug is tapping the caps lock key sometimes doesn't activate it properly, but that's probably not able to be fixed. I have a bad habit of tapping the caps key instead of using shift to capitalize letters, but I never had this problem on my old Inspiron that I ditched a few months ago. Other than that I absolutely love my mac and it would be nearly perfect with those fixes.
Doesn't help opening the folder in a Finder window from the Dock shortcut though.
How about left-click and release on the folder, scroll to the bottom of the list, select "Open in Finder".
Here's to hoping they finally unify the default scroll bar.

Also, and this is nit-picking, but perhaps they could allow the user to change the default drive icon so our Windows partitions that are formatted in NTFS (which is probably like 90% of people) could look like the Windows icon or something.
