I hate that - it has plagued me all Summer long. Good, sorry, but I thought I was the only one."The file can't be found" prompt when connecting an iPhone via USB still isn't fixed 😅

The downloader says "Big Sur Release Candidate." Hell, it had better be a release candidate by now!Now it says Beta 2 again LOL. I saw this as well, reloaded the page a few minutes later and it was back to beta 2.
Just as I said this, it sped up and finished lolIs the download super slow for anyone else? Usually don't have any issues but the update screen is estimating 6-7 hours.
LOL indeed it does! They are confused themselves, I guess. Now it says Beta 2 again LOL. I saw this as well, reloaded the page a few minutes later and it was back to beta 2.
Hopefully, this fixes the "Mac not unlocking with Apple Watch" problem that the last beta release caused. For me...at least. Never had that issue until first 11.0.1 beta.
It's mentioned in the WatchOS 7.1 change log. Have you updated your watch?Still having that issue unfortunately![]()

After this update? Ugh.
WatchOS never caused an issue for me. First beta of 11.0.1 did.I didn’t have this issue with 11.0.1 but there is a watchOS 7.1 out now that is supposed to fix Mac unlock issues
Out of curiousity, why do you love it? What's better about it?I just got my first new 'Mac' about a month ago. 27" iMac. Love this thing! And I was looking forward to Big Sur mainly for Safari update to stream 4k. But since I have to wait, I've been using MS Edge browser. I know I may get some hate for this, but I'm absolutely loving the Edge browser! I'm kind of glad that Safari was behind in this because it made me seek out alternatives.
Having said that, I'm still looking forward to the official update to Big Sur, and will more than likely go back to using Safari. But it's been nice to use the alternative for now.
the don't release GM any more the actatul wording is Release candidateIs release candidate the same as GM for ios?
from the watchOS 7.1 release notes:WatchOS never caused an issue. First beta of 11.0.1 did.
If you're doing a clean install, at this point you might as well wait.Is this a good build to do a clean install with now or should I wait for GM? I installed Big Sur pretty much the next day after getting my Mac Mini and my space on my drive has fille dup too fast. Need to do a clean install.
