I was really hoping that the last two betas would fix the egpu startup issues of going to a white screen, and you have to shut off the egpu and turn it back on and then it all seems to work. I hope GM does not have that issue.

I should however point out that there is actually a higher version of xprotect version 2104 available when you install the latest security updates for sierra or high sierra and in the case of mojave, the latest combo or supplemental update.

There is none whatsoever for catalina.

It is in fact being phased out in favour of gatekeeper which will play a bigger role in future versions of macos, thereby rendering xprotect obsolete.
My Catalina system (beta 10) just installed both an XProtect (version 1.50) and MRTConfigData (version 2106) update.

Thanks for the new info.

Well that's a surprise. I wasn't expecting to see a new xprotect for catalina. Not surprised by a new mrt though.

Anyway I think you may have the version numbers in the wrong place.

I think they are XProtect (version 2106) and MRTConfigData (version 1.50).

Anyway here are the links for the catalina versions:

Here are the links for the older systems:

The reason there are 2 different links for each is because older systems put them in

/System/Library/CoreServices/

whereas catalina puts them in

/Library/Apple/System/Library/CoreServices/

How do I check my MRTConfigData current version?

Thanks

That would depend if you have catalina or an older system.

On catalina, in terminal it is

/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print CFBundleShortVersionString" /Library/Apple/System/Library/CoreServices/MRT.app/Contents/Info.plist

On older systems it is

/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print CFBundleShortVersionString" /System/Library/CoreServices/MRT.app/Contents/Info.plist

Previous Articles about Catalina, Arcade, and that Apple Denmark sighting, had many believing CATALINA would be released to the Public Friday. October 4th. Well BOZOS, it didn't and I noticed how cleverly you've all Skirted around the fact that CATALINA DIDN'T Drop Today as you all had previously reported it would. (9-5, MacRumors, MacDailyNews, OSX Daily)

Catalina public release seems to be getting all the attention now.

However apple also quietly updated safari for high sierra and mojave to version 13.0.2:
