Super-duper, thanks.

Absolutely fine. Been on it since Beta 4. Even that was better than Big Sur.Hows macOS Monterey running on Intel machines? Kind of want to jump on early and install this.
You have to get 12.0 first then do 12.0.1 because the full installer isn't out yet. Allegedly that comes out tomorrow.I'm still just getting the 12.0 beta in software update with a public beta profile on my M1 MacBook Air currently running Big Sur. Was going to wait until the official release but who am I kidding, I don't have the patience for that.
12.0 is Beta 10. the RC full installer will be available at some point, just have to wait, or go to beta 10 then Delta to RC.You have to get 12.0 first then do 12.0.1 because the full installer isn't out yet. Allegedly that comes out tomorrow.
I did the delta, no issues. I did have to go into launchpad when it was all done and delete the installer for the BETA.12.0 is Beta 10. the RC full installer will be available at some point, just have to wait, or go to beta 10 then Delta to RC.
Any other new ones besides the new MBP ones and the default pink abstract one?The new MacBook Pro wallpapers are in this build.
I'll wait for the full installer then. Thanks 👍You have to get 12.0 first then do 12.0.1 because the full installer isn't out yet. Allegedly that comes out tomorrow.
yes, all the colorful iMac ones are in there too.Any other new ones besides the new MBP ones and the default pink abstract one?
Both, afaik. Is the RC available for Intel Macs, or only for Apple Silicon Macs?
It's possible Apple found some last-minute bugs in the RC, so they might be holding off on the full installer until next week, because if the final build will be different than the RC, there'd be no point in releasing the full installer now.No sign of a full installer yet. May have to wait until official release...
Or, maybe they don’t do the full installer for the RC, as they have the OTA, if needed, for developers. It's possible Apple found some last-minute bugs in the RC, so they might be holding off on the full installer until next week, because if the final build will be different than the RC, there'd be no point in releasing the full installer now.
Just my theory, could be wrong. Personally, the RC seems stable to me; feels like a polished Big Sur release, not a x.0 software product.

According to Mr. Macintosh's tweet, there was a Big Sur RC full installer. That's why I suggested my theory.Or, maybe they don’t do the full installer for the RC, as they have the OTA, if needed, for developers.
I can’t recall if 11.0 RC had a full installer.

I'd just update now. It's the same thing and if there is a newer update on Monday then update again.
I did that, and had absolutely zero issues. I installed the RC update right after installing Beta 10 over Big Sur. As Beta 10 was relatively mature into the beta process, I doubt it'd cause any issues for you, but hey, you do you.Possibly. Worst case I'll wait until Monday. If I can't go from Big Sur to Monterey RC now I may as well hold out for a few days longer.
The issue is then I would have to get beta 10 first, and then update to RC and the whole reason I haven't run the betas is that I don't want any beta stuff left behind. I'll wait I guess. I did run the beta on a separate volume.

If there were issues, they would have pulled OTA too though, as they've done that before.According to Mr. Macintosh's tweet, there was a Big Sur RC full installer. That's why I suggested my theory.
Works for me - I just select the whole URL (I have full URLs turned on the address bar), drag it to the desktop, and it creates a HTTPS shortcut on the desktop. Works a treat. Am using the RC (12.0.1).OK, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how do you pull a link from Safari's address bar to your desktop? I used to be able to click and drag on the favicon, but now it's the X. And there's nowhere to grab it and pull it out of Safari. Grabbing seems to open it in a new window.
That worked. Never had to select the whole URL before, but thanks!Works for me - I just select the whole URL (I have full URLs turned on the address bar), drag it to the desktop, and it creates a HTTPS shortcut on the desktop. Works a treat. Am using the RC (12.0.1).
