I Downloaded and instaled the "Mac Developer Update",

Then I Downloaded (click continue) Mavericks from Appstore, then after the download ended I just run the installer and about 40 min later (i'm on a cMbp L11) Mavericks is ready with the latest build 13A603, no issues, no tricks.

So does this mean that I can, on my 15" rMBP running GM 1 build 13A598 at the moment; just download Mavericks from Mac App Store, and run the new install OS X Mavericks app from my applications folder, and press install, and I will have the latest build 13A603 running on my Mac after that without losing any files? Or will this then be a fresh install of the OS? Anybody who could let me know the answer to that?

I would be very grateful :)

It will update it as normal, it will not be a fresh install. It will update you to build 13A603 and install right over your current version of OS X.

As always, back up before hand just in case something goes wrong (always possible with software), but more than likely just download from the Mac App Store, install and all should be good to go.

Thanks a lot for that answer. :)
