Maps app has been a complete resource hog on my 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro. The side bar menu items flicker like crazy and can use in excess of 200% CPU resources at times. Hope this gets sorted!
Thank You, now I see it.This is the public beta, yesterday was the developer beta. Both beta 9...
Do you know if it's (and how) possible to find the build number inside the Beta app. somehow?11.0 Beta (20A5384c)
This is purely a comment about your Epson printer. I have an Epson Workforce Pro WF-4730 that has been a hassle practically since the day we bought it. Way to many paper choices in the driver and if your print project doesn't exactly match paperwise to what you told the printer the type of paper is installed, it will stop until that is rectified. Then, about 3 months ago, the wifi module in the printer died. It was flaky before occasionally not printing but I could usually get it back on wifi. Now, the only way it prints is hooked up via cable to the router, no more wifi printing for us.This beta version is very buggy. My Epson printer has stopped working (the printer is recognized by the system, but does not print anything). My Boom3D audio app has also stopped working.
Until beta 8 was working nice.
Same issue hereiCloud Drive not working at all for me. Shows each app usage, but no files and no “option” button where I would select cloud desktop and documents folders
Are you saying the SMB issues are fixed? Definitely not here. I have Mac mini 2018 + MBP 2014. In the last beta I had to fix SMB manually. This beta broke it again. There's some improvement as the Macs now see eachother on the network, screen sharing works, but when I try to connect to shares, the password dialog on both Macs gives me the nuh-uh shake for both login options (username+password or Apple ID) even though they are each connected to the same ID and share the same local login user+pass. This b9 (20A5384c) is running better on 2018 Mac mini i7... b6 had a bunch of issues (including no SMB loaded by default), b8 was kinda sluggish, but had less bugs than b6 for sure. Safari especially is running better (in b8 it got sluggish quickly, and saw graphical glitches in it a few times)
Yup. Looks like they took it down a notch with the drop shadows on FaceTime + Messages, too - but they also either added a gradient, or the toned down drop shadow made the gradient look more pronounced. Not sure why they're hell bent on creating a little 3D world inside the 2D icons - stop flirting with Aqua, guys, we don't want the pendulum to swing back that way. 🤢New QuickTime, App Store, and Finder icons, and the status bar icons have been moved closer together (thank god).
I had the exact same problem between my iMac on Catalina and my mini on Big Sur. I turned off file sharing on both, rebooted them both, then turned file sharing back on on both. Now everything "just" works. Are you saying the SMB issues are fixed? Definitely not here. I have Mac mini 2018 + MBP 2014. In the last beta I had to fix SMB manually. This beta broke it again. Thanks, it was worth a shot but it didn't do the trick... Both Macs still shake their head at both their common Apple ID as well as their common username+password that work just fine for screen sharing.I had the exact same problem between my iMac on Catalina and my mini on Big Sur. Please add to Feedback AssistantMusic App navigation is super slow on both iMac 2017 and MBP 2020
Definitely not.Does this increase the snappiness of Safari?
