Anyone using Mojave on a space grey 12” MacBook? I just wondered how the dark mode mixed with the space grey looks:)

Also those that have downloaded it, how are you finding dark mode? It’s something I’m looking forward to.
I have it on an iMac Pro which is Space Grey and it seems nice.

Does anyone know how to enable scripts in ~/Library/Application Scripts? My Scripts in ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.apple.AddressBook are no longer working in latest mojave releases.

Thanks

Yes they are. It works great on my MBP running Mojave

That’s cool, are there any new Touch Bar functions added to Mojave that you know of? Personally I think it’s got the potential to get better when the IOS apps come over.

Can’t wait.

Keep making MacOS faster and with fewer bugs. That’s what we really need.

(Then you can focus on fixing your horrific keyboards and laptops so we can give you money to upgrade.)

I know you can add automator actions to the touchbar now and the long neglected DVD app which was overhauled for Mojave now has controls for the touchbar.
[doublepost=1535401410][/doublepost]Mojave is shaping up to be perhaps my favorite release of macOS/ Mac OS X yet. Time will tell if it can even surpass Snow Leopard and tiger. DB1 ran even smoother in my experience than High Sierra almost a year after it's release and the addition of dark mode has been beneficial as i do plentiful photo and film editing.

We're about a month away from public release. They've gotta be getting close to nailing stability down, approaching a Gold Master.

Does the Migration Assistant work correctly now ? Couldn't migrate my accounts under HighSierra on a different partition.

That’s pretty cool then, I think I read somewhere about being able to add a dark/light mode toggle via the Automator to the Touch Bar. Yea Mojave looks good to be fair, I haven’t tried it out I’m waiting for the release (my 2011 MacBook Pro can’t have it and my 2012 iMac is the only other Mac that can support it so I don’t want to install a beta on my only Mac that supports it).

This year there seems to be more features that interest me:

Dark mode - I really liked it when they announced that
Stacks - make my desktop so clean and organised
Being able to mark up PDF’s and things without having to even open them is great
The new screen shot features where you can capture a section or the whole thing, even screen record a section
Continuity photo - that seems helpful for certain tasks like wanting to put a photo in notes and so on

Then there’s IOS apps coming to the Mac, that will be a lot better next year when they open it up to developers as well, maybe they will also bring more of there own Apple apps too it.

I've noticed two changes to iCloud and local accounts.

- It is now not possible to have the same password foryour iCloud (AppleID) and local account.
- It is now possible to allow your AppleID to reinitialize your local account password.

Stacks has been a lifesaver for me for the past few months i've been running Mojave.

I personally like dark mode but like another user said is just a matter of taste
eye of the beholder
with that out of the way
how many of you think that the next version will be the GM
maybe PB will get another update before GM
but I never heard of 10 PB or 10 DB
but with TIM as CEO you can expect the unexpected
or don't expect things to be like they used to be
at this rate maybe we will get the official release version of Mojave
before SEP 15 unless they slow down now
and take 2 weeks for each of the final 2 builds
then it will be release anytime before the end of September
either way is just around the corner, 2 more weeks or a month
I really hope Tim don't screw things up and make us wait until October
[doublepost=1535403997][/doublepost]I know most like PB will be release tomorrow but my question is
is that PB8 or PB9
last time I check DB was always one build ahead
can someone tell me what is the latest PB version

Looks great on the 15”. I do always feel I’m using Safari private mode though.

It’s certainly dark.

Without more insight as to why you’d state that, such negative commentary is not really helpful.

True. But aren't you who is negative in the first place?

Let me expand.

Mind is a very powerful thing, even more powerful than we give it credit for. Thoughts such as "I cannot do this, "what's the point", "I am not good as the next guy/girl", "I will never be successful like that"...and many other thoughts that someone with loser mindset can come up with, are gonna paralyze you at subconscious level, and make you fail, even before you really tried anything.

If Steve Jobs said "Look at how huge and powerful HP is, I am never gonna get big as them", back when he was young, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation on this forum. There wouldn't really be "MacRumors". He didn't gave damn about HP, except asking for some minor assistance.

Therefore focus on your goal, do not let your passion be strangled by doubts and loser thoughts.

I installed the prior beta on my Mac Pro 5,1 and it worked fine - it required a firmware upgrade as part of the install. I tried with the earlier betas and, as you stated, they didn't work.

My Radeon 7950 fails some or other test even though System Report says it is METAL compatible. Is there any solution other than replacing the card?

And don't you have to install the first release to install any of the updates?

- It is now not possible to have the same password foryour iCloud (AppleID) and local account.
- It is now possible to allow your AppleID to reinitialize your local account password.
This has been the case since Sierra. You can always change your computer password back to match your Apple ID password.
