I'm hoping OS X 10.5.7 fixes unreliable issues with WiFi on 802.1X networks.

It is against the rules to bump threads. Please go read the rules.

We know nothing about 10.5.7.

I think the bump is for your on posts? Not sure... I think bump is just a forbidden word :D

Bumping doesn't effect threads that are posted by MacRumors', bumping only effects posts written in the forum by other members in order to put their buried post on top. Posting doesn't effect the stance of these particular threads.

You mean that threads in the news forum remain in chronological order regardless of the time of the last post?

Then what the heck is the purpose of the bump?

No threads that MacRumors post on front page and page 2. The threads that are posted by you or I are bumped up depending on the most recent posting, hence why it is against the rules for people to "bump" their own threads to get them back on top again. Posting on these threads doesn't move the actual thread, and bumping comments serves you no good.

A new build arrived on Monday night. So probably next week is release at the earliest.

What is the build number of this new build? Also, on what Web page did you read about this new build?

Thanks! :)

World of Apple is reporting Apple has released yet another seed of Mac OS X 10.5.7 to developers. This build (9J39), like the last few, has few know issues and the only know problem is the Safari 4 beta won’t install.

Apple has released several updates at almost a weekly biases. Increased seed speeds and few know issues indicates an imminent release.

If I keep saying it I’ll be right sooner or later.
This is old news. In fact, it's reported at the start of this very thread.

I wonder what that means? I have a Bluetooth mouse that works fine to click and scroll, but it will not track. I have my fingers crossed.

Rich

The Bluetooth can be buggy at times. I stopped using my bluetooth might mouse as at times the tracking stammers. I noticed this happens a lot when Time Machine is backing up. The only way I found to fix it is to turn off the mouse and turn it back on, but the reconnect sometimes doesn't kick in unless you click the mouse a few times while it's getting a handshake. The scroll ball was becoming more and more touchy, and the last time I tried to clean it with alcohol and a Q-Tip it just stopped working all together. I love the look of the mighty mouse, but I have to admit Apple needs to develop a better scroll ball.
