How long on average before they release to non-developpers?

Having a lot of Mavericks niggles still...

Thank you for any advice from previous release time frames.

jonnyback,

Going all the way back to 10.0.0 and 10.0.1, this is the longest time ever between a 10.x.0 release and the 10.x.1 release.
This would suggest it won't take too long.

Also there haven't been any mentions of known issues in the release notes of the beta.

Well, 10.8.3 took a good six months so you'd best get some coffee!

Or it'll be out tomorrow, who knows. It's Apple after all. :D

The .1 releases usually hit pretty fast after the release. Of course, Apple just had a week off for the holidays, so that doesn't speed things up. .1 releases also usually only focus on a couple of small issues, though, while 10.9.1 seems to be a bit broader in scope, so who knows?

What's the file size of 10.9.1 on Apple's site?

240 mb

why don't you guys use USB3?

Because they bought FW drives before USB3 even existed and want to keep using them? Or because they have a mac that has FW800 but not USB? Just because USB3 is out doesn't mean Apple doesn't need to fix it.

How is this even a bug?? #

Whether it's a bug or not, it would be good for Apple to restore that lost functionality.

This still doesn't fix the occasional inability to wake up from sleep on 2013 MBA. What a joke. Good thing they got emoticons to work with VoiceOver though

For me the biggest problem on Mavericks so far is the FW drive sleep/spin down issue, and the inability to sync Contacts and Calendars using iTunes...

My only question to the MR members here, are ALL of you guys that keep saying, "I hope they fixed xxxx-problem" actually reporting the problems to Apple? I mean some of the things some of you guys use your Macs for may not be a common use and the issue may be getting overlooked. For example someone was mentioning about the Firewire external drive sleep issue. I can understand if Firewire in general wasn't recognizing any external drives but Apple may not be focusing on external drives not sleeping. That is something that needs reporting.

Plus anyone that is a Developer Release please report any bugs in the beta using /applications/Utilities/Feedback Assistant.app.

That doesn't exist anymore. It's not in the final released version of 10.9, so if you've done a clean install, it won't be there.

It exists, it's just not included in the OS install itself, never has been. Just download FA version 3.1 from the portal and use it to send feedback as it has always been.

For a few of the developer preview builds it was installed automatically. It's not an available download for developers, but rather is only for Appleseed members, I believe. In any case, even when it was there, as a developer I was never able to submit anything that way.
