Why would they do that? Apple gets enough promotion of their OS from fans -not by leaking their OS. Its contrary to their mania of secrecy. If you want to make big claims like like that, be prepared to back it up with proof. Second, the presence of crime doesn't justify breaking it further.

Yes, we signed an NDA, that doesn't mean we have to be jerks, and it doesn't mean we can't talk about troubleshooting steps.

I fixed the problem on mine by going into the console, looking at the system log file for errors, and seeing what wasn't working. I ended up removing everything related to parallels desktop, and several other startup items that were indicating problems. Now happy to report I run 10a394 with no problem.

@shodai34 thank you for so generously contributing your input on the SL error on update. simply removing most of my extraneous startup items under 'user accounts' in system preferences allowed the update to proceed nicely.

its good to see that there are a few decent people out there that don't think they have to be jerks to make a point.

anyone else that managed to fix their problem please dont forget to share what you did if it adds value to the discussion.
