I would do a safe boot after you had the AS Mac off for a minute.

This isn’t that continuity camera issue is it, there was a fix for that posted here to try in the forums.

nope. I've tried everything at least twice...guess ill just wait until the "official" release comes...

You can always have a DFU restore done (full wipe, install system FW again), that can be done at an Apple Store. Just make sure you have an external ASR volume prepared beforehand to restore your OS settings/applications/data.

But yeah this close just wait and try it from full installer availability early next week.

I finally got it working. I completely removed my Apple ID and then set it back up.

For example you can make use of search rather than explore the hierarchy or use the View pull down which has search at the bottom also. You can also use Siri on Mac or Spotlight search to pull up specific settings quickly. There is no customization of the sidebar design.
Thanks for confirming this. I hate the new preferences design with a passion (the iOS preferences are horrendously designed compared to e.g. Pixel phones and Apple should have completely redesigned them before importing those changes to macOS), but as long as I can use search and especially Spotlight search to jump directly to what I need, then it shouldn't bother me too much.
