OTA not showing up as a download for me. I uninstalled the beta profile, shut down, restarted, re-installed the beta profile, and nothing. Anyone else?

Are you a registered developer? There's no public beta yet

God this right here! If the only thing iOS 10 introduced was the ability to shut off Autoplay everytime my phone connects to my car, it would be completely worth it. There's a song I used to love but now absolutely despise because I hear it four times a day now and it aggravates the hell out of me.
Do you have a setting in your car radio to autoplay when a Bluetooth device is connected?

Animations very smooth and quick on my 7+, not sure what everyone is talking about.

My 7 Plus is silky smooth on 10.0.2. I'm unclear if these animation issues people are talking about are what they're experiencing on the 10.1 beta, in which case it should be expected, of if they're actually experiencing jittering/lag with animations on 10.0.2.

We're referring to the "jank" and animation lagg that's been present since iOS 7. More specifically the god awful performance of the 7 and 7 plus.

cute cat......

Now, why would u wanna have two Messages open in spit view to drag and drop to ?

Weird. I've never experienced that except under exceptional circumstances (eg. my phone is updating/installing a bunch of apps at the same time ... or it's doing a backup at the same time, etc).

Some people are blessed. Having used the iPhone since iOS 3... I can tell you for certain that they do not optimize as much as the Jobs/Forstall era. Just going in and out of Apps on the 7 feels laggier then on my 6s Plus. Also, when multitasking, the animations are horrendous...

It's slight, but it's there. I've used about 15 7's / Plus's and it's present on every device. Not something everyone will notice, but for those that do it's annoying.

How can one tell if running the public versus the developer beta?

If you got an update today, its developer, if you get an update tomorrow or Thursday, its Public. It will tell you when you are downloading whether its public or developer. Other than that you can't. But they are identical build wise.

I've gotten the newest phone every year. My recollection is that the 3G was pretty bad at first, with performance. It was a real dog. Subsequent software updates helped some, but it wasn't until the 3GS that it started to smooth out. For quite a few years now, I've felt the iPhone experience to be very smooth.

I wonder how much of this is expectation bias.

Like I said, not everyone can see it. There's a guy on YouTube "lockergnome," he goes into detail on this topic. But just because some people don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. There's some people that swear "androids has no laggs it's buttery smooth!" Yet I couldn't make it one day with a galaxy due to the frame rate issues.

Can someone who updates let me know how the battery life is? I had to go back down to 10.0.2 because B1 was eating my battery, especially in standby.
[doublepost=1475651030][/doublepost]It took a few days now my battery life is great. I get 10hrs 16 min. usage and around 47hrs standby and I have 34℅ battery life left. I even keep my Apple Watch connected all day. I hope that this helps.

Some people are just more OCD then others and therefore notice it, but the animation lag is very much a thing on all iPhone 7s and 7 Plusses. This video demonstrates it pretty well:

I've been to two Apple Stores and used an iPhone 7 of a friend and I've seen this this frame skipping on every iPhone 7 I've looked at. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen often enough to question why this is happening, especially because older devices do not experience this. Just read some of the threads in the iOS 10 forum, it's really an annoying bug on such a fast device. Or better yet, maybe don't read about it at all or else you will start noticing it too :)

Is anyone else having terrible keyboard problems? No matter if I'm in email, iMessages, or safari, the keyboard locks up and I have to close out the app and start over only to have it happen again shortly thereafter. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm on 10.1 public beta.

No I've checked. It did this with the factory system and it still does it even after I replaced that with an Alpine unit.
