Mine is an iPhone 6, relatively new too as it was replaced earlier this year following an accident.

OK must not be happening then.

This is exactly what is happening to mine!

Where did I say its not an issue? Yes it is not happening on my devices or anyone that I know. The issue is people on Macrumors like to blow things out of proportion. The fact is, the majority of people are not experiencing these issues. It seems to be a relatively small percentage of iOS users.

[doublepost=1482312837][/doublepost]No update available for me yet (I'm in France), though it's been advertised on several French websites...

Could it be specific to other devices than my iPhone 6?

Are you referring to 10.2.1 Beta 2? Its only available for developers. PB will probably be out today.

I think IOS 10 is fantastic and it's great to have so many new cool features, but I wish Apple would put a hold on features and new emoji's to focus exclusively on bugs. The battery drain issue on the 6s still needs be resolved, there are complaints (I've seen it myself) when pulling up visual voice mail you have to select the message two or three times before it will "stick", there are still bluetooth sync issues with certain autos, etc.

There are plenty of bugs Apple can fix, so I think most users can get by with the emoji's we have for now.

Do you think Apple will fix more bugs if it froze emoji development?

I think the two are mutually exclusive but maybe I don't see the entire picture.o_O

I can't say for sure, maybe not. It's more of an irritant for me.

Getting lots of new emojis versus fixing what think are serious bug like the massive power drain on the iPhone 6s (well documented on the Apple forums) when the battery reaches about 30% then rapidly drops to less than 5% sometimes in minutes is totally unacceptable. And since Apple does not let us revert back to IOS 9 until the issue is fixed ... new Emoji's for me are a total slap in the face.

Wait, Apple doesn't develop / design the emojis, though, do they? Aren't they merely adding a standard (in this case Unicode) developed by some entirely other entity to their OS?

I have a hard time imagining very much time being spent at Cupertino on emojis in general. Maybe more like flipping a switch and boom, there be new emojis? The only ones making a big deal about Apple's so called "obsession" with emojis are the people depending on clicks, and those, who, like the loyal clickers they are, provide those clicks and the vitriol that for some inexplicable reason always follows.

I fully admit to not being a 100% clear on how all this is done, but maybe someone here can enlighten me on the subject.

OK. I don't want to jinx it but 25 minutes and I've only had one small stutter. Typically in this amount of time I would've had multiple. More testing to come.
Mine is still pretty bad with LTE on in the car, but pretty much fine with it turned off - so, that's good at least. However, I got my pair of AirPods earlier in the week, and have noticed some stuttering with them as well when LTE is on - ARGH!!!!!!

With thousands of employees I do not think there is only one employee working serially on various facets of IOS. Probably have hundreds on IOS 10, with no contention between bugs and emojis.

Progress marches on, even if there is discontent about the perceived order in which things are being released.

Hmmm, interesting. I even went back to the front page and looked to verify before I made that post.

Edit :That's not front page. That's under iOS Blog.
Technically it still shows upwhen you are on the front page.
