I don't know if my game still lag when brightness is automatically adjusting. Hope not but I can only keep finger crossed.
I so hope this is fixed!! It wasn't fixed from the final 9.3.2 beta like many claimed, only alleviated when it comes to springboard... I was sitting outside playing a game with auto brightness on and whenever a cloud would cover up the sun (this happened very often that day) the screen would dim until the cloud passed, then the screen would get bright again. Anyway, this happened so much and made the game lag so bad that it was pretty unplayable at times. I have had auto brightness disabled ever since. That was the day after 9.3.2 dropped.

With all these updates, I have a feeling that iOS 9 will be the last version to support 32-bit devices.

iOS 10 will probably be fully 64-bit, and Apple will be able to concentrate on fixing/improving a single 64-bit version of the frameworks.

Can anyone help me understand why this update is so small for my iPad Air 2 (A1567 - 243 bytes)? I've tried downloading this update several times on multiple computers and keep getting the same results. Thoughts?

Any time I try to install it it's coming back as invalid. Anyone have the same type of device and different results?

Yeah. This is the one I tried to download too and the same thing happened. I'll wait a while and try to redownload later. If it is still that small I will submit a bug report to apple.

Come on public beta, I'm hoping this fixes my battery life issues, cannot keep charging my device four times a day!

I'm hoping they fix a (potential?) bug in the location services. Mine were using around 200MB an HOUR if I went through an area with kind of bad reception.

Which particular app (or system service) would that be tied to?

I hadn't even noticed this, best start monitoring my data usage to see if it is affected. I work in an area with very low 4G signal and my phone tends to stick to it rather than go for full 3G signal. This also isn't helping my battery life..

I heard they shortened it to only 3 times a day with this update! Sweet! On a serious note. it aint gonna help someone who has to charge 4 times a day. So dont expect any miracles like that on a .x.x beta update.
If you are not a current apple developer why expect an ota update.
He stated it was already on beta 1 so I would guess that is why he was expecting it.

Generally not, but then there are some people that seemingly started having worse battery life since 9.3.2 while it was noticeably better with 9.3.1, for example, so perhaps for some of those something like 9.3.3 might in fact change something when it comes to the battery.

Yeah maybe so but 4 times a day charging and you think that is an iOS issue? And one that a x.x.x beta 2 firmware will fix?

Install issue perhaps or some conflict somewhere or something else stuck or something like that could certainly be fairly likely culprits. Not necessrily as drastic as going from 4 recharges to no recharges, but there can potentially be a difference to a noticeable degree for some.

Lol you quoted me from the iOS 9 thread. ;)

I thought this may be resolved by now, given some time since I last saw this problem, as is sometimes the case with problems on the developer portal. Alas this hasn't happened yet.

So I have now submitted an official bug report to apple.

It would be pretty bad if it were a public release. If we pretend for the moment that it were a public release, then yes one could update via oth .... BUT try and do a full restore from the full ipsw file and this will fail for many (but not all) devices. Some ipsw files do actually download properly but many still don't.

Thanks Ty. I tried it just now as well after getting in the office this morning. I too was thinking that it would have been resolved as of this morning but I guess I'll just have to monitor it for change. Thanks for submitting the bug report.

"Time & Location" in System Services.

I think this may actually be related to an app I use called 'Human' that tracks my activity in the background using the GPS. But prior to this beta, I'd never seen such terrible spikes in T&L data.

When is it coming out cause I'm getting insane battery issues right now. Sometimes my phone would just turn off at 50% or 20% which is absurd.

That juice has got to go somewhere. Suggests to me it's not charging properly or surely the device would be hot while draining?

lol, this is the only thing "new" coming out of Apple these days, OS patches.
Agreed. I remember awaiting eagerly to install the developer betas and these days, nothing happens. Like I guess you can call the Night shift an update but come on... Lets get some exciting changes coming through again.

I know this is a 0.0.X update but in general, they have all been relatively bland.

I think I have a workaround (other than just update via ota).

Basically change browsers - or even operating systems.

I am dual booting mavericks and el capitan on a 2014 mbp and tried to download it via mavericks safari. Didn't work properly as I said before. Now I booted up in el capitan and successfully downloaded the beta via safari.

One shouldn't have to change browsers or operating systems to download a beta so as far as I am concerned it is still a bug and I will not retract my bug report.
