Reading the Ventura forums, it has been remarkably stable.
If by stable you mean battery drain from 100% to 0% with the lid closed :D I’m in!

Hopefully Beta 2 resolves the bug. Not sure what causes such power consumption.

It's only beta 2, so I'm trying not to judge too harshly, but thus far Ventura is a bit of a mess. L2TP VPNs won't connect; the System Settings app (to replace System Preference) is a POS - it feels like a poorly made Catalyst app with features and settings buried behind small drop down menus, things that used to take 1 or 2 steps now take at least 3 or 4 steps; switching b/w full screen apps using CMD-tab dumps you back to the Desktop instead of actually taking you to the app you've switched to; Stage Manager feels completely tacked on vs. a feature built for macOS (as far as I can tell there is no way to activate beyond going into Control Center to turn it on - which is just clunky and unnecessary).

I have submitted all of these issues (with a lot more detail) to Apple, so I imagine most obvious bugs will get fixed. I fear System Settings, however, won't see any major changes. Perhaps some refinements here and there, but imagine the overall Cataylst-esque feel and clunky interactions are here to stay.

With that being said, the new Weather app is fantastic - a Catalyst app done right. I like a number of the changes made to the Home app as it feels less clunky, but it is still very obviously a Catalyst app with the same annoying limitations (specifically non-modal device windows).

Here's hoping beta 3 will be an improvement over beta 2, as beta 2 doesn't feel like much of an improvement over beta 1.

Beta 1 was solid as a rock On my 16” M1 Pro. Finally rebooted it after 12 days! Beta 2 is not so good. The Safari Technology Preview that was released a few days ago won’t run. Regular Safari runs but I can’t drag it out of the App folder and place it on the bottom icon dock. I can drag other apps into the dock, just not Safari. I had to drag it onto my desktop as a shortcut and then drag it into the dock…

painless ota update.

expecting things to start breaking since beta 1 was so good but nothing yet

switching b/w full screen apps using CMD-tab dumps you back to the Desktop instead of actually taking you to the app you've switched to;
Good catch. I usually 3 finger swipe between full page apps but do occasionally use Command + Tab on a system without trackpad.

But yeah, with the broken behavior happens, you have to tab to the actual finder and then tab back to the app you wanted to go to. Im sure they'll fix, glad you reported it.

So far very stable. I don’t notice the new features much day to day. I tried Stage Manager, didn’t like it and turned it off. Not for me.

Having issues updating from Beta 1 to Beta 2 related to BridgeOS. The update stops closer to the end of "Preparing the update" with a suggestion to check the Internet connection (which is OK). Running from the Terminal shows that something is wrong with BridgeOS update.
I'm installing on the 2nd partition, next to the Monterey 12.3 installation. Cannot share the full message text, since running a long work-related process. I've seen the following suggestion for the BigSur beta, but I think the link is outdated and wouldn't work for Ventura:

Code Block bash

Any quick suggestions until I get the full error message? Thanks in advance!

Few noticeable issues on beta 1 with MBP m1, awful battery life, notification center hangs and iMessage notifications delay. I hope beta 2 will solve those. Also, I am not a fan of new system preferences UI, but no big deal.

Messing with Stage Manager, and there are definitely times in my day when it's great. My issue is that windows don't revert to their prior positions when you turn it off. Reported.

I can report that Magnet is working again, battery not draining while sleeping and notification center is stable at the moment.

Bricked my iMac, haven't yet been able to recover it. Goes into endless loop on internet recovery. Worked fine on my MBP though. Worst update in a decade for me.
If you have it backed up to a external ASR volume that migration assistant can use, just make Apple Store appointment for a DFU restore.
