Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming macOS Sonoma 14.3 update to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming three weeks after the release of the first macOS Sonoma 14.3 beta.

Registered developers can opt-in to the beta through the Software Update section of the System Settings app. Under Beta updates, toggle on the macOS Sonoma Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID associated with an Apple Developer account is required to get the beta.

We don't yet know what features are included in macOS Sonoma 14.3, and there were no notable changes discovered in the first beta.

Alas the bug in the scroller SDK is still their, fixed in 14.2 and back in 14.3 but only seems to affect some applications whereas in 14.2 RC it was all.

I sure hope they fix this iCloud problem in the next version of Sonoma: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255046649

I hope they fix all the issues I’ve been having with Sonoma. I’m doubtful at this point.

Hopefully they fix the Password section in Settings. Since the last update it requests the passkey to get in, then flashes the list of accounts, quickly switching to the Appearance section in Settings. Can’t access them except through other devices or Keychain Access.

It still requires the passkey or fingerprint to get in (as it should), but I did not experience the glitch you described with beta 2 on my MBP. Consider it fixed.

Anyone know what the firmware does on the M1 macs? I hope it does not slow it down….

See this post
That identifies the version, firmware usually isn’t associated with operation speed, but every update to MacOS is paired with a unique firmware. It provides the low-level control for a device's specific hardware.
