Apple today provided developers with the second beta of macOS Tahoe 26 for testing purposes, with the update coming two weeks after the first beta was released following WWDC.

Registered developers can download the new beta software through the System Settings app.

macOS Tahoe features Apple's Liquid Glass redesign, which extends across all of the new updates this year. Apple also brought the Phone and Journal apps to the Mac for the first time, and introduced a new cross-platform Games app.

With the update, Apple overhauled how Spotlight works, enabling new functionality that allows it to be used to complete all kinds of actions like sending emails without having to open up an app. There are also changes to a number of apps, including Messages, Safari, and Notes.

All of the new features that are included in macOS Tahoe are outlined in our dedicated roundup.

Not showing here yet (in Arizona). Have some annoying cosmetic items I how were fixed (window flickering).

I dunno, I guess either keep trying or wait a bit and try again.

iPad OS is not showing for me either, but on Mac it worked after a couple of tries.

I know it depends on the device and uses, but how is the stability so far?
It hasn't really crashed on me, but as I stated above I have a really annoying window/screen flickering issue. I think it may be do with some inherited settings. Even when I try and turn stuff off that I think is causing the issue it doesn't. I set up a different/clean profile/account on the same machine and don't seem to have that issue.

It wasn’t showing for me either. Had to turn off beta updates, then turn it back on and it finally popped up for me

When is the Public Beta Coming out?

In the first beta, was Safari chewing up memory (resulting in running out of system memory) for anyone else? Hoping this update fixes that but thinking I probably need to disable my ad blocking extensions until things are stable. Assuming those are the culprit since I haven't seen others talk about Safari issues.

Really dislike the look of all these floating islands of buttons. And the side bar. Much less clean than it is now. Makes sense on iphone where the buttons have to share the space with the content so they float above it. But not on Mac where they have their own space.

So far they seem like they spent a lot of time on Safari.
