Thanks! Just needed to double check. Because at around 80% done a pop up on my phone said that it couldn't complete, and then it took a long time to finish the last 20% and it stayed on the boot screen apple logo for quite a long time. So it made me extremely worried something horribly wrong happened. But it's working and shows the correct beta 2 build number.

Out of all Apple's betas this is the one I'm most moved to install (yes, I am registered as a developer), but I'm not willing to load the iOS 10 beta on my phone to get to the watchOS beta. Sigh.

Swiping between watch faces seems much more responsive and easier in beta 2. Beta 1 sometimes took an extra swipe or two or three to change to a different face.

Much easier now. The dock seems to scroll more fluidly too - a longer swipe will fly through the apps.

I mean last year's betas were ****ing horrendous and destroyed the watch pretty much. This year's beta 1 is easily like last year's beta 5. But Beta 2 already feels super smooth in comparison.

I have apps starting up faster than I've seen on watchos2, whose "native" apps were supposed to improve performance. I didn't notice **** and just used it as a glorified activity watch.

Now I might use it a bit more.

Could be a little early, but I woke up this morning and after 3 hours of non-usage (auto-unlocking my Mac 1 time, thats pretty much it), battery is at 70% already (42mm).

Un-pair the watch and then re-pair it. It's a very common thing to happen when updating the watch. It's not specific to beta, it happens on released updates too.

The method of updating the watch is just terrible and super flakey.

Has anyone noticed if the haptic feedback has gotten stronger in watchOS3? I always felt it could be made stronger. Just wondering if this was tweaked. Thanks.

Time to get out of the stone ages MR.

Key thing when checking the check box on the Mac in Security and Privacy make sure your watch is logged on
And next to your Mac before you check the check box. Thats how I finally got it to work.

I don't even get the option in settings.

Horrendous battery, I've unpaired 3 times...

Going to let battery run dead and see what happens.

Ran battery to zero, fully charged overnight and it seems to be running normal now..on initial beta 1 battery was not bad so was surprised how badly it was discharging on beta 2 even after impairing and building as a new watch, not restore.

Anytime this happens, it happens about once week with the beta, I restart my watch and it's fine.

It needs to be a Mid-2013 or later Mac.
