It's saying I don't have enough to install the update.. It said it takes 8.6GB to install a 1.66GB update. That's nice. I had to clear out a bit of stuff to install it.

These are new:

Also a new visual bug:

Find My iPhone is listed twice in Location Services -> System Services, I reported this to Apple.

So far experience with Beta 1 has been pretty good. Only a couple of crashes, haven’t been able to replicate them so no biggie. Pretty smooth, and love the new lock screen.

Installing this beta immediately:)
Other than Siri sounding robotic in CarPlay, and being unable to fully download the voice in Siri's settings, I don't think I've had more than 1 or 2 crashes on my phone. I have the other betas for my iPad, watch and Mac and the same is true for them....been very stable. Maybe slightly battery-hungry, but not to a point that threatened to kill it before the end of the day. Looking forward to seeing what beta 2 brings.

I had total of 2 crashes in beta 1.

Does anyone know if a particular Location Services toggle must be on for the Earth wallpaper to focus on a user's location? Mine looks like California (I think) all the time; it's certainly not the US East Coast.

Unfortunately youre still unable to change the lockscreen clock font size, maybe in the later betas they add that feature.

Downloading beta 2. Beta 1 has a number of significant and accumulative issues/bugs. Reporting as I find. MS teams, vpns, WiFi, app lockouts, safari etc have issues. Having said that I’ve been using the beta 1 as my daily all day device with the iOS 15 as the backup device. Only twice since day one have I had to resort to ios15 device to run the mission critical (usually MS Teams ) to get jobs done. So not bad for a beta 1, fingers crossed some of the stability issues are improved with this update. (Sure there will be new glitches - it’s beta, right?!)

To me iOS 16 feels more stable than iOS 14 ever did.

Beta 1 was working great for me, the only issue I had was I couldn't download new apps from the App Store. The circle just kept spinning forever. Hopefully fixed in beta 2.

Did Live Activities get pulled for this Beta? I’m no longer getting Music or Timer on my lock screen.

I have been running iOS 16 for about 24 hours, so admittedly not long. But I've been surprised how smooth it's been. The Lock Screen is awesome, the updates to messages is welcome, and the minor quality of life improvements are also really appreciated. The Lock Screen alone makes it feel fresh. I do wish we could have gotten updates to Home Screen like placing apps where ever and less wasted dead space. This is especially true with iPadOS 16.
