Next year, how about Apple goes through iOS Betas to >27.1 before we are forced to use a 27.0 Beta (which is darn near an Alpha) on next year's iPhones. Being forced to use a lame dot zero release when buying a new phone sucks, and does bad things for Apple's annual new phone PR. 100% of any shortcomings of my 17 PM are iOS 26.0 related.

Well, I tried Tahoe and Liquid Glass and I'm back on the old faithful Sonoma.

Kinda pi$$ed that my phone is stuck on Liquid Glass, but maybe it's an indication that it's time to look at a Pixel. I've heard a lot of good things about them. Only PITA will be the connectivity between the Mac and the phone which to be honest I only really use now and then. Either that or sell the 16 Pro and go on a downgrade journey to say a 15 Pro with 17 or 18 installed.

Annoying, but the positive is Sonoma is an absolute rocket compared to Tahoe.

If you don’t see beta 2 on iOS, shut down the phone and restart. It’ll show up then. For me, it was 4.49GB in size. Before the restart, it would show I was up-to-date on 26.1, which it was not. I have had the wireless CarPlay bug on my iPhone Air. Hopefully this fixes it. I installed beta 1 hoping it would fix that bug but should have waited for 26.0.1 but that didn’t come out for another week. Impatience got me this time.

I dont know if this is a bug, but after updating to Tahoe MacOS 26.1 Beta 2, my battery will not charge to 100%. It had been on the charger for a while, and it says "Battery not charging"... Was wondering if any one else noticed that on Tahoe. Thanks in advance!

My wife saw this happen many times with past OS’es. The solution to fixing that problem was usually to reboot the phone. I’ve never seen her problem but whenever I see that message, I just take the iPad (don’t see that on phone) off the charger and put it back on. With the iPad, it happens when I used a cable to charge, of course.
