Apple today seeded the second betas of upcoming iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 updates to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming four weeks after the release of the first betas.

Registered developers can download the betas from the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad by going to the General section and selecting Software Update, although it appears over-the-air updates may still be rolling out. The downloads are already available from Apple's Developer site.

iOS 26.3 adds a new tool for transitioning from an iPhone to an Android device. Transfers can be initiated during the device setup process, and moving data from one device to another can now be done without having to download a specific app.

Apple's transfer process supports moving photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, phone number, and more.

The update also includes a Notification Forwarding setting for third-party wearables in the European Union, and there are some minor changes to the Weather wallpaper. More information on what's changed can be found in our iOS 26.3 beta 1 feature list.

Apple is expected to release the iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 to the public at the end of January.

No update available here in Germany. Have they stopped it or is it geolocated?
In the uk and had some bother.

I had to uninstall the security patch test, let the phone reboot after that install and then force restarted it before I seen my update.

Either that or the servers were busy and I messed about for nothing 😂

Maybe it’s only for those without auto updates turned on. I see no updates here in Germany. Just a thought

Were there any 'future product ids' hidden in this OS version? might that give a clue as to when a product is released?

There definitely won't be any major changes, of course, but this is officially the first iOS update post Alan Dye's departure and Lemay's taking over. Some silver lining.

Very excited for the future.

Apple seeds second beta of iOS 26. Funny. I don’t see that at all on my beta channel. Oh yeah…that’s right. I signed up to the beta channel in order to turn off any forced download of 26 and to only receive updates to 18.

iOS 26 IS the beta. It’s the beta for iOS 27.

There are update servers located around the globe. It takes time for the update to replicate on all the servers. Luck of the draw when a specific region receives the update but it's usually fairly quick. I got it in Italy about 20 minutes after Macrumors posted about the release.

Please fix CarPlay, please fix CarPlay, please fix CarPlay.
If you're going to try 26.3 beta and use wireless CarPlay, can you let us know if it fixes the connection issues?
My friend and his wife both have issues with their 17 Pro Max iPhones failing to connect to CarPlay randomly when they start the car. As far as I know, once connected, it stays connected. Currently, he has to turn off BT and turn it back on and then it will connect.

My car does not have wireless CarPlay or I'd be following this for him.
